THE PERFECT WEAPON

Director: Matthias Titus Paar

Cast:
Johnny Messner
Steven Seagal
Vernon Wells
Sasha Jackson

Plot:

In a not too distant future, a totalitarian state secret government organization run by The Director (Steven Seagal) controls all aspects of life. All “enemies of the state” are dealt with in the harshest way and most of them are executed by a secret organization’s operatives and assassins. The best operative is code-named Condor (Johnny Messner) – an elite agent and hit man for the government. However, in his latest assignment he fails to kill an opposition leader and finds himself on the run from the very same government agency that he works for. This sets in motion a chain of events with unforeseen consequences for all involved. CONDOR just might survive the hunt by the all powerful government organization and the betrayals by so-called allies as he is THE PERFECT WEAPON.

Another new movie?

http://moviehole.net/201590164steven-seagal-is-a-perfect-weapon

Ahead of Cannes, VMI Worldwide has set Steven Seagal to front “Perfect Weapon”.
Not to be confused with the ’90s classic starring Jeff Speakman, the hitman thriller sounds like a cross between Sly Stallone vehicle “Assassins” and recent Sean Penn vehicle “The Gunman”.

In the not too distant future, an elite assassin fails to terminate his target and finds himself on the run from the totalitarian state’s secret government organization that employs him.

Seagal is next in “Absolution” (the trailer of which we posted yesterday), co-starring Vinnie Jones, and recently started filming Michael Winnick’s “Code of Honor”.

If the actual good guy character was a famous known action star, then I would be thrilled to see this movie. It dosn't appeal to me at all when the good guy lead actor is just some unknown nobody. If Seagal dosn't have a good amount of screen time, then the movie will be lost in my opinion. As it stands now, I'm not getting my hopes up. I'll see the movie before I believe all that is written above..

I have never heard of him so he is a nobody to me, and *a few decent movies* dosn't make him anything big or special.

Seagal needs some big names these days to make his movies interesting to people worldwide. Some people here who are very big fans of Seagal might be able to settle with what he has made the past many years, but people outside this forum have gone from loving Seagal to absolutely despise him because they actually choose to see quality movies instead of the mediocre movies Seagal choose to appear in these days. And I can surely understand those people, I dont want to waste money on Seagal's movies any more either, the standard of his movies now a days are way to low. Few of my friends are still buying some of his movies so we do a Seagal movie night every now and then. I cant remember the last time any of us were the least satisfied with a Seagal movie.

I had hoped for the last many years, that Seagal would find his way back to the standard of his old school movies, and since that will never happen I have lost interest in him and his movies. I guess that is also why I feel that I dont really belong here any more.

Thanks DiDa. This Looks 1000 times better than Sniper: Special Ops or The Asian Connection!

It dosn't take anything at all to top those two extremely horrible movies. You and I could make better movies than that with our cellphones.

I have exactly the same feeling. I was and...I think I'm still ...a big of Steven. But I have stopped to buy his movies since a couple of years because they remain too bad.

We should maybe accept that the actor carreer of Seagal is over....

His real movie career already was over after Exit Wounds. He won't be back to A-list movies!! This is what it is. I think you should accepted this a long time ago. He makes B action movies now. Some of them are decent at some of them are bad. But at least he is trying something different right now and is putting effort in his recent movies (according to Titus Paar, Michael Winnick and Kaos). I really don't understand the hate right now. The movies he makes now are much better then at the time he made Black Dawn and Attack Force (with all the voice dubbing and stupid stories). It's just that Seagal isn't the lead in his latest movies (and that Sniper movie is not a Seagal movie in my opinion).

I am very curious about Perfect Weapon, End of A Gun (Seagal as the lead again) and his own project Attrition.

Don't worry, I understood that Seagal's carrer in A-list movies was over long time ago but I think it's over in B-Movies, as well.

Sorry, you are happy with latest Seagal's movie, me not. They are still bad and, as you have mentionned it, Seagal in not the lead actor anymore. Say differenty, we got recently poor movies and even worse Seagal has very little time in it. Therefore, why shoud I buy these movies. It doesn't make sense for me.

Honestly, I prefer Pistol Whipped, Into the sun and even Urban Justice in comparision to what he offers us right now.

I agree with you about that titles. Those movies and The Keeper are his best dtv movies. Stay with us, because I believe better times are coming ( Attrition, Gunfighter)

Into The Sun is actualy one of my favorite Seagal movies, because I have always wanted him to make a movie like that.
I'm looking forward to see how Gunfighter turns out, it has a old school plot which ntrigues me..
