Promotion of his DTV'S.

Well this will have to be the first time I ever saw a National TV commercial of a Seagal DTV release since Half Past Dead when it was coming out to DTV after its theater release.

I saw a TV ad for MFJ on Spike TV last night, in addition in this monthe's Black Belt Magazine there is a small promotion article for it as well.

Can the recent quality upgrade of his current DTV release mean a sign of better promotion?

It's very strange, still there is no official trailer though for Mercenary For Justice. :( Did the advert show any of the movie?

Certainly the quality of Mercenary For Justice was better. The stunt double wasn't obvious, the action was constant, the plot was okay. I even liked some of the humour in the movie.

Yes they showed a trailer for MFJ on Spike TV last night.

Usually Videodetective would have the trailer up and running before the film arrives on DVD. Strange how the movie arrives on DVD on Tuesday and there's no trailer.

Yeah, I saw the teaser too. I thought it was a commercial for the MFJ Television Premier cause that's what it looked like.

"Steven Seagal is Mercenary For Justice!" It was really cheesey and edited as bad as the movie but hey, it can't hurt him.

I saw it on Comedy Central last night.

Also caught the "Seagal is Mercenary for Justice" but any publicity's good publicity.

No Print Promotion for MFJ

I have not seen any print advertising for MFJ in any of the trade and distribution production periodicals, which is unusual. Based on this limited information, I thought Fox had given up on the title, deciding to simply put it on their April dvd release schedule without promotion. It seems they elected to focus the ad budget for MFJ toward the consumer (current tv ads) rather than the retail market. Hope it's successful. Anyway, it's good to see a Seagal dtv showing up on tv ads.

We really should be used to this lack of advertsing by now, and the lack of a trailer. Even the people Seagal works with are sensible enough to know that they often have stinkers on their hands.
