I think it's not because he doens't want to do it, I think it's because of the involvement of Avi Lerner and his Millennium Films company. Guys, Seagal and Lerner had serious problems in the past. Don't forget that!!

Nope, think Seagal doesn't want to be a co-star or the bad guy (again). Co-stars have a habbit of dying in a movie and the bad guy always dies. And since Seagal thinks he is ubeatable he won't want to die in a movie again (Excecutive Decision and Machete).

Yeah I forgot about the bad guy and the dying scenario. But I still don't see why Seagal has to be the bad guy in it at all? Anyway...up to him. I also agree with you on all the other points that you raised.

Then he should just come out and say that then! What's the problem with just saying it as it is (if indeed that is the main reason) ?

The officialslystallone account on Instagram has some interesting insight into the character of late, with quotes from Stallone accompanying. The latest is a montage of the character over the years.

Just a separate point of personal trivia - I found a post I made here back in 2012 when the project was first announced, albeit tentatively, looking forward to it coming into development. Where do the years go..

Excited to see Rambo back again, the movie world needs him! Sly's put in 100% to make this as good as possible and I think it will show.

Escape Plan 3 was way better then part 2. Some old school Stallone stuff. I loved the end fight.

Yeah......watch part2 last night....got part way thru part 3 when I saw there was a part 2, so I watched that instead...
strange movie to say the least...read that Stallone said it was the worst production he was in in his whole career
.........I wonder what Seagl would consider his worst, he's always saying his newest release is his best
Stallone, Van Damme do pretty good for their age....
but then they seem to keep in shape unlike Seagal..
