I've heard of Ringo Lam, he is a very big director of action movies in Hong Kong and is probably best known for a film he made there called "City Of Fire"(1989) which inspired a great deal of the plot in Quentin Tarantino's debut movie "Resevoir Dogs"(1992). He has also helmed Jean-Claude Van Damme movie "Maximum Risk"(1996) That movie I found dissapointing more so because it had a dull script where not a lot happens but the little action there was, is well done, especially a fight in an elevator between Van Damme and a big Russian thug.

I would be very pleased if he directed a Steven Seagal film.

Peace.

I thought Maximum Risk was very good. I just watched it last week. It is certainly one of Van Dammes better movies. The budget was quite low, but the movie looks good.

I've just ordered The Replicant too, which i believe he directed too.
