Reading this carefully, it appears the allegations aren't unfounded according to the LA Times.

I should also have added that none of Steven Seagal's
loyal fans ever believed that he was implicated in any
thing that had to do with Anthony Pellicano.

We were extremely worried for his safety when
he testified against Nasso and the rest of those sickos!

I still do not trust the press! Most of the time they
only print rumors and innuendoes.

I'm not sure if you've read the article carefully. It's not a sensationalist piece slamming Seagal. It's a well constructed article that allows Steven to have his say as well as containing relevant quotes from others involved. If you're reading it as an attack on the actor, then you really need to take a step back and look at it objectively.
