Steve Irwin...

We are just a few who will miss him, Australia Zoo has been bombarded with floral tributes, mini-suits like Steve wore with messages on them, people camping outside of the Zoo in hope they would catch a last glimpse of their Animal Warrior! It's just all so devastating! especially for his family.
They are having a public service in some local arena near the Zoo within the next 2 weeks, a monument is going to be erected at the zoo so people can pay their last respects! Because if they let them anywhere near Steve's grave it will be desecrated beyond belief as everyone will want a little rememberance of him, & there would be nothing left within days, poor soul!
Goodbye Steve, The Sunshine of the World has been dimmed, forever more! & The Tears of the World in Constant Flow.

I read the public funeral will be next Tuesday or Wednesday. But i think we won't see anything on TV,it is so sad.

@hofmae,sorry i write it in german
hast du dein tribute video mal an den Australia Zoo geschickt oder es im Tribute Blog bei dem Courier Mail gepostet?
Das Video ist wunderbar und es sollten mehrere Fans von Steve sehen können.

This is disturbing... Steven would never do this to an animal... He always said: If an animal bites me its my fault. So i think he never would like something like that... *******s...

I don't understand his people, they can not be Fans of Steve Irwin.
You are right ,he never would kill any animal,he loved them, respected them and tried to undestand them. You must be very ill,if you think this is the right way to show your respect to Steve.

@hofmae
No german tv chanel will send something from the public funeral,i asked RTL 2 and they answered the can not send Crocodile Hunter yet or something else about him.

Smile dammit!
Steve was larger than life,so enthusiastic, sometimes way over the top,but he loved his work and loved all creatures. Who can forget the time a croc flew out of the water at him,and when that king cobra sprayed venom at his eyes!
I often thought he took crazy risks, but what happened to Steve was just nature and bad luck. You always thought he would come back, grinning, going "crikey that was close" as he did it again!

To kill a stingray because of it shows the humans who did it are nothing but animals themselves!

No they're not animals that killed the stingrays Storm! they're down right bloody sadistic blood curdling *******s! Stevo would turn in his grave to know what has happened! He loved all animals, he wouldn't love them, not for what they have done, the sick taurags! somebody should cop their bits off see how they feel!! Sorry if anybody finds this offensive but where animals are concerned I am crazy about them, it doesn't matter whether it's a beetle, spider, fish, bird, croc, scorpion, lizard, ape, you mention it, I love it, they've got more right on this earth than us! humans just ruin the planet, do animals cause wars, disease, only what have been given to them by man in the first place, do they drive cars, open nuclear power stations, do they ruin the rain forests or any other tree for that matter??? I could go on & on but what's the point no-one listens, they still kill those beautiful animals for nothing!!!!

A MEMORIAL service to celebrate the remarkable life and times of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin will take place at 9am next Wednesday (September 20) at 'The Crocoseum' at Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast.

Australian iconic vocalist John Williamson, who was Steve Irwin's favourite singer, would definitely perform at the service, they said.

Williamsons' rendition of 'True Blue' had been Steve Irwin's favourite song.

They hoped that a live feed of the service would be telecast around Australia, and in Europe, the United States, and Asia.

I hope that we can see this in Europe, too. But i think we will have no luck in Germany. :(
