Although I agree that this subject is getting old fast, they do have a point Orangatuang.

First of all his health. His current weight and size cannot be healthy, do you want him to get a heart attack and die from it? Then there will be no more movies, tv-shows and albums.

His size and weight at some point will or already are hurting his career. All the major action flicks in theatre have slim, fit and slighty muscular actors starring in the lead parts. This kinda gives them there credibility as an action star.

Although Seagal has shown numerous times that his current size doesn't bother him in a hand to hand fight, that's the only thing where it doesn't.

In all his latest movies he is moving around his size (you can actually see which scenes were shot first and which later (he lost weight along the way)), you hardly ever see him running. His 'romantic' scenes are a joke.

Seriously Orangatuang, how can keep his credibility as an covert ops specialist or secret agent looking like in the Silva video or the photo's from E3.

He is becoming a second Bud Spencer if he continues, and we fans don't want that.

Peace.

We should respect him more thats what i mean ..is that to much to ask .. we are surpose to be here to support him ..i wouldnt count him down and out just yet look ..as for romantic scenes well yes that do with an bit of work ..

I don't think there is a lack of respect for him. He has achieved so much in his life and done so many things you can do nothing else but have respect for him.

Perhaps some of us are just getting low on patience. Ever since glimmerman he has been on the wrong side of the weight issue, with the exception of Exit Wounds. But somehow he doesn't seem to see it himself.

Let's hope Seagal can continue to make movies and series for a long time in good health.

Peace

Agreed to an extent, I think?

I really believe what's hurting Steven Seagal is some fans that don't accept him for his present physical status, and continue to try and gear his appearance to that of Eastwood, Schwarzenegger, Lundgren, Snipes, Speakman, Norris, and other thespians of the action genre, what say ye?

But it ain't gonna happen for those fans contemplating that Steven Seagal ought to be like his fellow thespians and their physical appearances

I may be wrong?

kotegashi,

I admire your confession to running low on patience for Steven Seagal to live up to your physical expectations of his appearance. It shows true humility and honesty as a Steven Seagal fan

Not most fans in here will say that of themselves when it comes to re-thinking what they post or thread concerning Steven Seagal's right to 'freedom of choice' of how he wants to live his life and/or physical appearances to take form or shape
Thank you kotegashi

I wonder if Seagal is just plain old comfortable with himself and who he is and is not concerned with what others feel about his appearance. It certainly is something to consider. Maybe his outward appearance is not an issue for him. Some may even agree that it is very possible that he has an inner peace that is sufficient for him.

hHas Joe Halpin ever said anything about Seagal's weight. I mean he is close to Steven. He must know if Steven himself cares about his weight and what he thinks of it. Seagal has to know that he has too much weight. Is he trying to do something to lose it?
Or doesn't he talk about this?

Thanks for the link Danistz19.

The only redeeming quality of that otherwise pointless piece of writing was new photos of Mr Seagal.

Hi Kotegashi

Hi Kotegashi, I couldn't help but respond to your posts regarding Steven Seagal. I think Steven Seagal looks great, not fat at all. Wish I had the opportunity to give that opinion based on more than just photos, but as far as the photos I've seen I have no idea what you're talking about. I know I've watched America's Next Top Model and seen how some men critique other's and it's sometimes with a different eye than that of the female gender. But on another note I would like to say there are a lot of people who see Steven Seagal as so much more than an extremely handsome man, but as a spiritual, decent, nice person. As a woman it is so refreshing to see a man who is not a shell of a man....someone who is not caught up in their flesh, which as we all know eventually dies. So I would hope that you would consider looking at this side, because it's a much deeper more attractive side than even the outside. :)

??????? Not fat??????? You're kidding right?

I'm a bit smaller (10 cm) then Seagal is and I'm half his size, but I'm concidered seriously overweight by medical proffesionals. So I can only imagine that Seagal is weighing in at at least a 130 KG's. And that is dangerously heavy!

I'm not saying he should be like a topmodel. The fysique he had in Exit Wounds would be very nice. It's a fysique fitting his age and it makes him a 100 times more convincable as an action star, but most of all it would be so much healthier for the man.

And I really don't like fashion models, they are way too skinny.

So please open your eyes and see the real Seagal.

Peace

Different strokes for different folks. Give me a big, beefy, manly John Wayne looking guy any day over a thin or skinny looking guy...or Pierce Bronson looking guy. That's what makes the world go 'round. My husband is built "exactly" like Steven Seagal and he just got excellent blood work the whole way down the pike for his health. There are plenty of skinny people who are full of bad fats from eating lots of animals, and not so skinny types who have nice watery blood from eating lots of plant life. Chemicals are killing people, and all the toxins we breathe in or eat. Also, the stress of other's trying to force their will on us isn't so good for our health either. Everyone should live their life the way that they choose, unencumbered or unhindered by the oppressions of others...just like the Constitution used to say in the good ole USA. :)

Steven needs to lose weight ASAP. We all know that, and his fans might have sympathized with him these past few years, but if hes looking to make a strong cinema comeback he has to be in a slimmer physique again

Hey don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan and will continue to be.

I'm just concerned for his health and how his current shape will effect (read limit) his movie options. It's a proven thing, you want to be in big movies? Then you've gotta be in shape.

He doesn't need to be in the shape he was in in Under Siege or Above The Law, but more in the lines of Exit Wounds. In EW he had a fysique fitting his age, but still looked very fit, strong and agile.

That kind of shape or the shape he was in at the end of Ruslan/Driven To Kill is fine.

In the coming years I want to see many more movies from Seagal and he will last a lot longer when he gets back in shape.

Peace
