Iam not in an good mood today first its pissing down and cold then i go to school and find some prick has stolen my mum's foot stool that i was restoring..my teacher said he was going to ring the police i said forget it the cops around here are so useless so i wont be doing any wood work till next week now ...if i ever find out who took the stool and i will he or she ass is mine...thats one thing one doesnt do to me because they come off second best....so other then that everything is just peachy..
I felt sick when I read this, Heather. :( I remember when you first posted about working on this--you were so looking forward to restoring it. No amount of money could ever replace the sentiment about an heirloom like your mother's footstool. What a sad reminder of the types of people running around right under our noses. Fortunately for you, you have beautiful memories of your mum, and no one can ever steal those. I really am sorry, Heather.

Thank you Serena, there are only a few who will communicate with me!
Two are out town, you have been busy!! Amos is only here for short periods of time and doesn't have alot of time!! Tora, Heather, Pantera and Snooch are all on different time zones!!
Even Suzi has been quiet!!
I think they are under the impression that if they ignore me I will go away!
Let's have a pity party!!

I was just heading back here to add this pic to my previous post, but I'll add it here instead! :)

Lollipop--The only ones who may not communicate back with you are those who are purely wrapped in themselves and have no time for anyone else. So who needs them? :D

The rest of us think you're VERY cool--and a great friend to many here! :)
So save your pity party. ;) You have lots of friends here who are really the BEST people to know! :D

Know one wants to talk, I like to hear things about their countries, their way of life!! Their day! They want to argue about politics, religion, war, bad movies!

I suggested you see a movie "Love Actually" that I fell in love with!! You were not crazy about it!!

And we both were comfortable enough to say how we felt about it without feeling the need to attack each other!! (I still don't understand why you didn't like it)LOL Can we still have the cake?

Oh, no! I NEVER said I didn't like it. Actually, I did like it--I just didn't fall in love with it. :D I wasn't crazy about the hodgepodge nature of it, but I especially liked ANY part with Hugh Grant, the scenes between the writer and the girl who spoke no English, and REALLY liked the scenes with Liam Neeson and his stepson. :)

Hmmm....maybe I liked it more than I realized. :D

And YES to the cake! :D

My weekend was sort of like yours, Pantera. :)
Only without the fun of of the Irish pub Friday night. :D

Saturday I worked in my yard a little, mowed the grass, as well as the grass of the old widow next door, another old widow down the street, and an empty house across the street, where the grass had to be almost three feet tall! You'd think one of the men on either side of the house would cut it, rather than live next door to it like that. And all in 90 degree weather, with 98% humidity. I think I lost ten pounds that day. :D

Then Sunday I worked for my part-time job most of the day, then had to take my mother somewhere I REALLY did not want to go. But I did it for her. :indiffere

So, that was my lively weekend. :indiffere
Sorry you asked? :D

Your next two weekends sound fantastic, Pantera!! :) Music festivals, parties, camping, good friends--what wonderful times you have ahead of you! :) I hope the weather is nice for you the whole time!

And good idea about taking Monday off work! ;) :D

serena, i see that we have the same problem with the grass of our backyard.:D As it rains most of the time in Belgium (and as i'm not often there), i just can cut the grass once every three weeks....:D
Imagine, my garden look like a jungle most of the time. :D
And i can't aska man to do it, my neighbours are old people :D

I see that you have busy w-e too anyway.

This w-e is gonna be very tough: on friday night before going to the concert (which seems to start at 19.00), i must go to the vernissage of a friend which start at 19.00  Then i'll go direcly to the concerts were i have firends playing (so i wanna see them). After the concert i tought about coming back home 'cos i have to be awake early to go to the festival on saturday. But....an irish barman who was gone to another Belgian city to work 5 months ago, called me yesterday to say that he was back to Charleroi for couples of weeks. So i told him i was happy and that i'd come after the concert to say hi. I was really happy to have a phone call from him 'cos' it seems that he didn't forget about me since he left and that he sees me like a friend. :)
The problem is that i'm back at 18.00 after my work when i leave my office early. So it means that i have less than 1 hour to take a bath, change clothes and get ready to leave for the night.
It also means that i'll be really fu**** up on saturday morning....
At least all those places i have to go on friday are not far from each other. It takes couples of minutes to go from a place to another ;)

i must admit that going to festival is not easy for a disabled person. Bt in Belgium there are more and more disabled coming to festival. In werchet ther's a special platform for them to see the concert and it's not far from the stage. But in other countries, i don't know.
I like a lot of old stuff too (eg: simon and gartfunkel, diana ross, dione warwick, tracy chapman (less old),status quo...).
music is very something who makes you feel alive :) What do you think?

In Switzerland, as in a lot of the UK hall, there are the platform or a special place for the disabled people, there's just that there are not a lot of places and that sometimes it's very quickly sold out for us. :( It's particularly the case for the Cliff Richard Tennis Classic of the 17th December at the Birmingham NIA. It was simply impossible for me to get a ticket, as all the NIA (around 10000 seats in all) was sold out in a little bit more than 30 minutes.

I agree with you, the music also make me feel alive. :D I couldn't live without it, same if I'm not spending all the day with music. :)
