Well....first of all,people who dont have any interest .. please dont post just to say, I dont like heavy metal .. or heavy metal sucks.. that is not what this thread is about. So please respect that.. ;) :cool:

Well,some bad news for Megadeth fans.

This is really bad,I was hoping to catch them live in denmark again.. I havnt seen them in 7 - 9 years & now this.... :indiffere :indiffere Excuse my language but this is really F'ed up..

Out of respect for the webmaster at Megadeth.com I didnt post the full announcement .. read the rest at the official MD site:

DAVE MUSTAINE -- FOUNDER, VOCALIST, LEAD GUITARIST OF
METAL PIONEERS MEGADETH -- SUFFERS SERIOUS INJURY,
ANNOUNCES DEPARTURE FROM MEGADETH;
GROUP DISBANDING AFTER NEARLY 20 YEARS TOGETHER

During the first week of January, 2002, while Megadeth was on hiatus, in Texas, I suffered an injury which caused severe nerve damage to my left arm and hand. It was diagnosed as Radial Neuropathy - specifically, a "compressed radial nerve." My doctors tell me it will take about a year to make as complete a recovery as I can, and even then, we don't know how complete that is going to be. I am working hard with a great team of doctors and physical therapists daily, and God willing, someday I hope to play guitar again.

I pray to god that one day he will return to Megadeth.

I've seen a lots of metal bands at the ozzfests and local concert places. I've never seen Megadeth either though. I'm not sure when I'm going to see a concert again now that I'm single I really don't have anyone to go with. I really wanted to see Nine Inch Nails and The Rolling Stones this year (for example) and couldn't find anyone else. We'll see...

Mason - that Megadeth news is at least 2-3 years old. Dave Mustaine's hand has indeed now healed and they have only recently released the album 'The System Has Failed' with a new line-up and which is a stunning return to form. Megadeth are currently organising a tour (entitled GIGANTOUR) which is going to be a showcase of heavy metal talent across the US. I am unsure whether they will ever perform in Europe again though, as I think 'The System Has Failed' is their last album.

Yup I know Glimmerman ... but Dave didnt made any official statement in 2002 to the public.Not untill the Blackmail The Universe tour began.. when he was in Denmark he aparrently said goodbye to us .. so it is happening now. I know about GIGANTOUR, that (according to people on MD.com) is their last tour.

That album is possibly the heaviest, nastiest, most **** up album ever! I love it! Here in the UK, the front cover was edited to show a drill going into someone's head, rather than the considerably nastier other pic.
