Yes That's a great movie, but the third one is even better. Great story and pretty good actors and a great big chunk of comedy.

But I like to be scared and one of the most scariest moments in a movie is in "the Exorcist 2". There's a great scene that runs for a long time. first you expect something to happen, but after a while you get safe and then... there's a great scare there. I will try to copy this to my next short film.

"Dagon", a movie based on a novel by H. P. Lovecraft is also a bit scary. Many scenes are truly great and according to a friend I was near fainting at one point. I only know that it was a very macabre scene and I nearly couldn't se it. Great! :)

And I love Halloween.
i recently wached the exorcist 2 what scene are you talking about.

i don't know that book of lovercraft but i'll try to find the movie. Almost all the movies (if not all) based on a book of lovercraft are quite disgusting.
Re-animator, from beyond....
thanx for the info Robert P olson

I saw "From Beyond" last week. It was a real gore fest. Lost a lot of suspence because of that. I like it when theres more for me to imagine, I get more scared when my fantasy builds the creature or the evil thing that happens. "In the Mouth of Madness" with Sam Neill is a great film by the way. It has a Lovecraftian feeling to it, but a touch of Stephen King to and that isn't good all the time.

At the hospital. There's a nightnurse at the end of a corridor and almost the whole scene is filmed from the far end of the corridor. It runs for a while and I think the nurse hear a noise or something. Get's up and walk into a nearby room. Inside theres a man sleeping peacefully. The only cut in the scene is now, when she opens and closes the door. Back to the longshot and the nurse get's behind her desk again. A nightguard comes from a door and says something to her. Still longshot. He walks away, she's alone. A noise again... She goes to the door and back to her desk again. In a blink of an eye a person follows her with an enormous knife or something.
(I'm working nightshift at my hotel right now and only thinking of this scene makes me a bit scared.)
Me and my friends watched the scene in slomotion and even then it was scary. A really good scene.

Yes i saw this one of sam neil at the cinema. It was indeed scarry. A kind of psychological thriller more than horror movie. I agree with the fact that it's better to imagine the horror than seing it. But sometimes, i prefer seing gore moovie. It depends on my mood.
Another one i really like with sam Neil was Event Horizon:)

'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' Prequel Finds its Director!!!

bloody disgusting

New Line Cinema and Platinum Dunes have made a surprisingly cool announcement on who will direct the prequel to the 2003's smash hit remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, not only is Sheldon Turner writing the script with a rewrite by David Schow (The Crow), but someone who knows the horror genre quite well is directing. Read on for the story and watch for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Prequel in theaters October 2006. No word on whether Bryniarski is returning as Leatherface or not...

Jonathan Liebesman (Darkness Falls), who showed us what he truly was capable of with his Rings short film, is going back in time, signing on to direct the untitled Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel that Platinum Dunes is producing for New Line Cinema, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

As in the first movie, which grossed more than $80 million domestically, the story follows a group of kids who run afoul of chainsaw-wielding psycho Leatherface and his demented family. The story will reveal Leatherface's origins.

The script was written by Sheldon Turner with a rewrite by David Schow (The Crow). Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller are producing via Platinum Dunes.

They should just leave the first one alone. All this popular thing about making prequels these days is out of controll. :D

Ezra Buzzington (Ghost World, Art School Confidential) has signed to play the role of Goggle in director Alexandre Aja's remake of Wes Craven horror cult classic The Hills Have Eyes. Fox Searchlight Pictures recently picked up the film. Craven, who directed and wrote the original, is producing.

The film tells the tale of a vacationing family that takes a wrong turn, accidentally going through an air-testing range. When they get stranded in the desert, they become the targets of a cannibalistic, feral group of humans.

Goggle is the watchdog of the Hill People.

Aja, who directed and co-wrote the upcoming High Tension, also will write the remake with his "Tension" co-writer Gregory Levasseur.

Like I said....Out of controll.

Millennium Films, Taurus Entertainment and Emmett/Furla Films are developing a remake of George A. Romero's 1985 Day of the Dead, which will be financed and distributed through Millennium, says Variety.

The original film was set in a world overrun by pesky zombies bent on extracting a group of scientists and military personnel who have holed up in an underground bunker.

"Day" was a sequel to Romero's 1968 Night of the Living Dead and 1978 Dawn of the Dead.

Universal Pictures released a remake of "Dawn" last year, which grossed $102 million worldwide. Romero's "Land of the Dead" is set for a June 24 release.

Again a Remake.

Wishmaster is a decent horror movie for anyone who hasn't seen it. There may be a day of the dead remake but definately Land of the Dead (Romero) is coming out by the end of this summer! Event Horizon is one of the few horror movies that keeps me up at night and give me nightmares.

I really think the Chucky films are rediculous, I just don't find any of them to be categorized as a Horror film.
