Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning

At May 9 2011 starts the shooting of Universal Soldier 4 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The movie will be directed by John Hyams (who also did Univeral Soldier:Regeneration).

Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren will appear again.
Today it is confirmed that Scott Adkins will be the main star of the movie.

Looks like a movie to look out for...

very cool. I really liked Univeral Soldier:Regeneration. I am ashamed to admit it, but I almost wish they would carry on the Under Seige franchise DTV, but with good cast, co-stars and budget. Isn't Universal Soldier 4 supposed to be in 3-D??

Yes they are talking about shooting it in 3D, but I think it's not gonna happen because US4 will probably be DTV.

well you never know, it could still be shot in 3d and be released with those red and green 3d glasses. I think US4 will be awesome, and I'm not even a big Van Damme fan

Van Damme will be on the set tomorrow. It seems this one is going to be great. Even Michael Jay White was spot on the set. My god............Scott Adkins, JC van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Arlei Arlovski, Michael Jay White, John Hyams, a decent budget and more then a month shooting. This really has potention!!!

I'm curious about the story of US4.

Universal Soldier 4 is finished! The new title is Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning.

Director John Hyams says it's coming to home entertainment in October. He hopes that before that, the movie will get a theatrical release...

But that shouldn't be a problem, because Stash House (Lundgren), El Gringo (Adkins), Transit (Jim Caviezel) and Dragon Eyes ( Van Damme) all get a limited theatrical release May 11 2012...

And....Universal Soldier 4 is shot in 3D. So it will certainly get a limited theatrical release!

I loved Universal Soldier, but the sequels have never been anything special in my opinion, and this one just seems to be the perfect excuse to make more money.
