Other US Campaign For Burma - Steven Seagal Speaks

Day 19 - Steven Seagal posted his message.

Steven graciously did a REALLY amazing short film spot for us which went live this morning - we are trying to raise awareness of the atrocities going down in Burma (70,000 child soldiers, 2x more villages burned than in Darfur, torture and massacre of monks, systematic rape – and that was before the recent cyclone, which may have killed more than 100,000 pp.) So we came up with the idea to get 30 celebrities to be in 30 short films rolling out over the month of May. In addition to Steven's, also up are Jennifer Aniston & Woody Harrelson, Will Farrell, Sarah Silverman, and Jason Biggs- it's a really cool campaign.

Hi, I´m Steven Seagal, producer, director, musician, martial artist and actor...

...I don´t like this unnecessary Huge-Ego line, the rest of course it´s good, well worth and real need for Burma.

He only needs to say: Hi, I´m Steven Seagal and...everybody have seen one Seagal movie in his life.He helps Burma as actor.Anyway...whatever!!!

But in the first line he said it´s interesting his preferences in his life:

1-Producer-This is the most important job/activitie for him??
2-Director(Although he only directed one movie, On Deadly Ground)
3-Musician-More than actor and martial artist, interesting
4-Martial artist
5-Actor-The Last Place

Now I understand the amount of stand-in and fight doubles in his movies. He doesn´t care about it...it´s in the 5th place of his preferences in life

i imagine because he is such a talented actor and martial artist that maybe he doesn't want people to see him as that....he wants them to recognize his other talents

where did you read that

It's what he says at the beginning of the Burma Campaign Video and he follows it by saying that his most important role is being a human rights activist.

He could have listed a whole lot more things that he is. :)

So very true, but still, Steven Seagal sells all of his movies with wigs, stand-ins, stunt doubles, you name it, he's done it
And through the years I've learned to accept it
Yes, just Steven Seagal's name alone is a guarenteed seller of anything these days :)

Storm

Smile dammit!
Seeing as how Stallone highlighted it in Rambo it would be great if they teamed up to publicise the atrocities in Burma. Have they ever met, been to a party maybe? I'm not sure.

Comments about wigs and stunt doubles are not helpful eh? I wouldn't mind his huge salary. Even a b-movie is a good living! In these days of cgi crap it's no wonder he can't break back into the big time action movies.

Found good source for hand target

Found some striking target mits at LDU Company out of China with free shipping to anywhere in the world. My friend bought a few first and then I got one in black. Price was cheap. I have seen others that were made of real leather but for what I do it works just fine. Martial arts stuff is on this page http://www.liangdianup.com/martialarts_1.htm or you can click through from the main page at www.LDUcompany.com

Just thought I would tell other people in case anyone out there was looking for some.
