I don't know if this story is true or not but I sincerely doubt that Van Damme is too strong for Seagal. Van Damme is not a real master and there is no proof that he was a Karate champion. In addition, really, I don't think that the only simple kicks of Van Damme can do something against the strong Aikido techniques of 7th dan master Seagal.
At a party in my home in Miami in 1997, Van Damme was tired of Seagal claiming he could kick his ass so he offered Seagal outside into my back yard. Seagal made his excuses and left. But Van Damme, who was berserk, tracked him down at a nightclub and offered him out again.Van Damme was too strong. Seagal wanted none of it.
