It is not out in the UK till next month, but i am looking forward to it. Rocky 6 was great, and the trailers for Rambo look promising. :)

I think it's too bad

He had to resort to taking Human Growth Hormone (HGH) in order to get in shape to make it.

Otherwise, it's decent.

Reguardless of what he took to get in shape he still had to make the effort to get in shape! I will be seeing the movie in a few days and think that it looks much better than the first 3(except for First Blood). I read in an article that the studio that gave him the 2 picture deal is giving him another contract due to the success that the movies have made. Cudos to Sly for making a strong comeback proving that age doesn't matter if you put out a good effort and work with the right people!

I thought it was very good.I've seen all his pics and think he's a great actor. But of course my big guy Steven Seagal is the best there is.

Haven`t seen it yet.

Here in Switzerland the movie starts the 21. February. But they say they cut out at least 1 minute of violence!!!!!!

Thats a shame!

But of course I will buy the RC1-DVD when it comes out.

I agree. I think thats the moment for Seagal to make a huge comeback with UNDER SIEGE 3. I`m sure with a good story this movie would make a lot of money at the box office.

Go for it Steven!!!

I think the movie was very good however not quite as good as i thought it would be.It is not as superb as rocky balboa was but its still good in its own right.rocky balboa was the perfect end to the saga, rambo felt ever so slightly missing something almost as if it was trying to be a little bit sentimental like rocky.slow starting but once it got to the main action it kicked ass,as once it started it didnt let up.my only gripe would be that the trailer(s) gave away most of the best death moments and lines.all in all a great film an almost 80s worthy actioner.given the time between rambo 3 and 4 and stallones age he has done the unthinkable AGAIN and come up with a great sequel. 9/10

I would never watch a 'boxing' movie.
None of the "Rocky" movies. I just hate
boxing.
Now the 'Rambo' movies? I can watch them
over and over again. I haven't seen the new
one but I'm hoping it will live up to the others.
I'll let ya' know the minute I see it!!
God bless,

Just saw Rambo and I have to say that this is the best Stallone movie he has made in at least 15 years. The ironic thing is that the same producers and companies(Millinium and New Image) made this movie and it was awsome. Which to me dispells the myth that they were the reason that Seagal's movies with them were bad. I think that Seagal needs to take a note from Sly, becuase if there was ever a better time for him to get back to the theatres it would be now because they are really coming out with some crap movies that will be getting released(meaning that his chances of getting a theatrical realease are much better). Bottom line, if he got in shape(and I mean loses 40 pounds, cause we need to face it, he is not in theaters because of his weight and that is it, not because he plays the same guy, Sly made 6 Rocky's and 4 Rambo movies which all made money). So in the end, highly recomend Rambo and I am also still looking forward to Pistol Whipped.

The film is released here in the UK on 22nd February, and I hope to see it that day, though the premier was last night. I agree completely there Dmoj. With action stars from the last two decades making cinematic comebacks, the chance for Seagal to do the same has never been more realistic. Bruce Willis in Live Free or Die Hard (2007) and Sylvester Stallone in both Rocky Balboa (2006) and now Rambo (2008), have proved that with a good script, decent production values, the desire to stay in shape and the drive to make a good film, then anything is possible. It has now been six long hard years since Half Past Dead (2002), Seagal's last film to go to theaters, and yet with the exception of Into the Sun (2004), none of the other 15, yes 15 films have really come close. Sure he has had other opportunities, such as the cinema released commercials for both Mountain Dew and Orange, but the quality of the films or his own passion has never really been there to back it up.
I think that one of the reasons that Into the Sun came so close to theaters is down to Seagal's interest in the project. It was filmed on his 'home' territory back in Japan and he was involved in every aspect of the production, from the story to the music. I think if Seagal ever wants to play theaters again, and to be honest I'm not seeing much proof that he does, he needs to find something that will get him interested enough to lose the weight, make and effort and to put it bluntly, not act like a jerk on set, something we are all too often hearing about these days.
Seagal has said that Under Siege 3 is not something that interests him, and to some degree I can agree with that. In several interviews, Stallone has said that for years he tried to get away from his Rocky and Rambo tough guy image with different roles in comedies and dramas and nothing really worked for him. In the end, once he embraced who he was, he was able to actually start making decent films again. No I would love to see Seagal do other things apart from action but I think that as that is all he has done up to this point, I am inclined to think it is getting a bit late for him to try anything new now. And if he does want to try a greater range of emotional depth, then why not try it in an action film, there is nothing to say action has to equal a lack of emotional investment?
I think Under Siege 3 represents Seagal's best chance of a cinematic outing. Now although he doesn't really want to, I think he should bite the bullet and make the effort. He should see it as a stepping stone both to get back into theaters and as a way of financing the projects he wants to, for example, his long cherished Prince of Pistols, now languishing firmly in development hell. This is something that Stallone has done, as he now looks set to finally make his biography of Edgar Allan Poe, something which he, to much derision, has been talking about making for years. There is even a possibility of him starring with Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorcese's adaption of Dennis Lehane's novel Shutter Island (2009) and in a remake of action legend Charles Bronson's signature film Death Wish (1974).
Overall I think that there is an opportunity here for Seagal and that he, and all those around him, should do their best to make sure he takes it. Our hero is not getting any younger and another chance like this may not come around again.

Managed to see it on Sunday. Unfortunately the Odeon cinema in the UK is not showing it at all due to some dispute over advertisements!

Stallone seems to be back, after Rocky 6 this was great too. Now hoping there will be a Rambo 5. :)

Your thoughts?

What I think? Terrific, impressive, Stallone is a beast directing, writing and acting: What different are Rocky from Rambo, uh? Black and white, the underdog and the warman.Stallone is a great cinematographer

Of course is very good, 10/10.It was more than I expected.

SUPERB.And with Millenium films, this shows what can do a really talented director with Avi Lerner and company.
