I was at Penang Last week for vacation... swimming at the beaches that was devasted by those waves... i cant believe it! lastest death toll stands at over 1900+ dead!

I have just known them as "tidalwaves" i didnt even know that there was an fancy name for them....doesnt matter what they are called they only cause grief......there is 5 aussies missing 1 little 6 month girl confirmed dead..and an 16 year old down syndrome boy dead...they said that the water is starting to subside ..alot of the people have been washed out to sea and or crushed by cars etc....

Yes, It is horrible, alot more will probably suffer and die from the aftermath! Water and sewer systems probably down. Which will cause all kinds of disease's. It is like a tornado or hurricane must of the suffering is found after things start to settle down,

I really hope the victims of this tragedy died quickly..no suffering at all..god knows the famlies of the deceased will suffer enough for the rest of there lives...Mother nature can be beautiful and then she can also be an bitch...

21,000 dead so far ... most in Sri Lanka. Tsunami is a Japanese word meaning "harbor wave". The Japanese have a very extensive tsunami warning and blocking system of huge concrete walls and gates. The USGS also has a warning system for Hawaii and Alaska and the west coast.
Hallarian is on her way to help with relief efforts, hopefully we'll hear from her sometime soon.
Meanwhile, please pray in whatever form you wish, for the survivors and the victims also.

Thanks we will pray for all!!!!!!! I have been watching the news I have to walk away at times!!!!!!!! We live about 2 hrs. from the ocean, we don't go much! I like controlled enviroments and that is one thing that will never be controlled!

I check out all Phuket and Thailand Hospitals Emergency Services & newspapers and I didn't find any news or name about our amazing big guy !!! He was not there Thanks GOD !!! Approx.. 2000 Turkish people over there.

Just another update over 24,000 dead and counting...just imagine seeing something like this coming at you even the strongest swimmer wouldnt survive this ...if they are not drowned they would be crushed ....
