I would love to see one of Stevens seminars where he is wearing his hakamas
I have only seen him wear them in Out for justice where hes making firewood (actually stripping bark with a spade looks like) strengthen forearms.
And..anyone speak Japanese I would love to know what he is saying at he beginning instructions of ATL I got the jist of most of what he was tryin to say (being almost bb myself in TKD) but im used to Korean lang. and it kind of threw me (no pun intended) Im referring to whats sounds like sho dasho he is explaining about a wrong grab somewhere (at the wrist area)I know that the dozo lead to Randori o r a multiple attack which he traditionally knocked them into each other..as if they didnt know hed do that..duh..thats why hes the master huh?
THe triple or quad clap at the beginning is facing the altar they are inviting the spirits of the teachers to join them. the rei or bowing you will do alot of and heaven forbid you dont rei when called upon youll be snt back to do it again with the rei. (respect in class always). its an honor to be chosen and when you are you rei to master a thank you for being chosen. IN Aikido only as far as I know .
In our class you bow from waist down (my grandmaster is a very high 9th dan) only an equal can nod a bow he gets few head nods nobodys that high up)
