Bone-crunching in Seagal films.

I always love it when Seagal breaks a poor soul's arm or leg in a film so what is everyone's favouite bone-crushing moment in a Seagal film? Mine would have to be the arm-break in the jewellery store in Marked for Death, with the double wrist-break in Under Siege 2 a close second. And the leg-break in Hard to Kill a close third. Oh my there's so many to choose from.

UK version is heavily cut.

Rastafari that's probably because the UK video version was cut to pieces before it was released. Get a hold of the American version which includes all the arm-breaks, neck-breaks, wrist-breaks, knife-footage, bomb-making and other violence that was cut out of the UK version before it got released. If your VCR plays NTSC tapes you can get a US copy from Amazon.com.

I tell you what, I though Seagal film had all the best breaks and snaps until this week when I watched EQUILIBRIUM.

in one move, Christian bale snaps this one mans Wrist, then knee, then comes up from underneath to break his arm at the elbow, but a big spirt of blood comes out of the elbow wound where the bones have broken the skin.

Superb.

Sad that Seagal dosn't do that anymore.

Without a doubt...OUT FOR JUSTICE

In the fight in the deli, just as seagal takes the baseball bat of one of the thugs, he bends his arm outwards (to it's fullest extent!) Pulls it out of joint, twists the socket round, and smacks him with the bat (in the face!!!!)
The sound effects are great, and i consider this, also the best display of SEAGALs technique.

...Of course, if you want graphic horror, then the rastafarian guy in the jewlery shop in MARKED FOR DEATH takes some beating!!

Peace

Hi rastafari.

I have a region one DVD copy of "Under Siege 2: Dark Territory" and you would'nt believe the amount of violence snipped from it by the censors in the U.K. The film actually has an even nastier, more exploitive tone (still, not a bad thing in my opinion. LOL) than the 18 certificate version distributed here. Some of the extra scenes include

* A shot of the mercenary, who was kicked off the front of the train, being tragged along under it spewing blood.

* A double wrist-break performed by Seagal on a poor unsuspecting merc, just before he falls out of the train, over the cliff.

* The merc who caught fire falling down the stairwell is kicked out of the train by Seagal.

* A brief scene and extra dialogue of him using lighter fluid in the make-shift bomb.

* Penn sticking a knife up at Dane's throat whilst threatening him before the final confrontation with Seagal.

* Seagal snapping the merc's arm, who boobitrapped the compartment with the grenade/brush shaft bomb.

There are other extra scenes, but the ones above were the most memorable to me.

If you would like a VHS copy, just e-mail me your name and address.

Peace.

Doesn't he break that guys back in US2? That was pretty brutal...I think MFD had some real bone cracking though...And in OFJ, when he beats them with the pool balls, I was cringing...I don't watch his movies for that stuff, really...However it sure gives him a gritty edge and I can't help but be impressed, after all his skills help me to know that he could obviously protect me if there ever was a real life situation...;)

Back-break

The only back he's ever broken was at the end of Marked for Death. He breaks two necks, two wrists and an arm in Under Siege 2. Marked for Death mus have the most; there's an elbow break, an arm-break, a wrist crunch, a neck crunch, four other arm crunches, a leg snap at the knee, a neck break and the climatic back-snap. Judging from the Hard to Kill script, that was originally planned to be much more violent, maybe they toned it down so it woul be guaranteed it's 'R' rating.
