I found this news.

and Steven Seagal's part:

"He's been working on a Steven Seagal movie, a prison film that he says will be released either in 2005 or 2006.

"I just have a small part. I'm playing a body guard to another guy ... my character starts the prison riots."

The character he guards is played by Treach - "He's a rapper from the group Naughty by Nature. He's playing one of the prison bad guy leaders," Sanders says.

He'll shoot for two days in January in Las Vegas for that film. It has a working title but that is likely to change."

which film is this ???

Thanks for posting that, Suzi. :)

From "prison riots" mentioned in your article, I'm wondering if it might be the old Heraphant, renamed to Today You Die. I had this post a few weeks ago in your "Today You Die" thread. These descriptions were a little different than the one article you had found and do mention a prison. But that's the only connection--the word "prison".

Who knows, though, eh? :D

.....This was a brief description of the movie from an online news article: "This one has Seagal as a high-tech thief who finds himself imprisoned after being set up to take the fall in a Brinks truck robbery – and has a life-changing near-death experience."

And this is from the site IMDB, which does not always contain reliable information: "A high tech thief's latest job goes wrong and he finds himself behind bars. While there, he has a supernatural experience that changes his life forever."

I think it's still interesting, Suzi!
It's some kind of news, anyway. :D And it will give us something else to guess about. :D
I would leave it, but if you want to delete it, go right ahead. :)
