Who is Sun Myun Moon?

bummer ... I happen to like Celestial Seasonings teas ... and won't stop using them just because the company is owned by moonies. There are a lot of corporations and businesses run by creeps that we don't have a clue about; and then there's genetically engineered foods ... and so on. Granted, the moonies have a very bad track record and I do not agree with their ideals; but there are political policies of the US government that I do not agree with either - yet I still pay income tax! There are always rouges and bandits lurking in the shadows in the world - all we can do is live the best we can with good qualities and let their karma take care of them and their dasterdly deeds.

The book I'm reading now about moonies that was written about 15 years ago by a French reporter contains many facts about them that I could never imagine.I'd rather not say it here or not say it at all as I don't wanna have any issues.But it scared me a big deal when I got to know how big their influence is in this world in cultural,economical and political areas.This ain't just a religious sect,there's more behind it and they crave money and power.I don't wanna mess with that.Geez...I'm so glad this book got into my hands.

Tora, The people that care about you most will be the honest ones with you because the last thing anyone wants is to see you get hurt. Well,there are people that I do trust and there also people that I don't trust.And there are also people who try to deserve your trust to use you later.And this is the kind of people I try to stay away from.And somehow when I meet some people deep in my mind I already know who I can trust and I can't.But then again,you never know,even people you've known for years may suddenly turn to betray you so you dare not say what you say because each time you see too much of something good in someone they may disappoint you one day.

Tora, I have even had family disappoint me. Actually a friend too. That friendship never did recover from it either. Thats life.

Kickingbird, I can't argue with you. There are companies that I buy products from and I don't like who they sponsor. All politics are corrupt. But, we still have to pay Ceasar his due, so to speak.

Julie- yes, we still have to pay Ceasar; and in actuallity there are many businesses and corporations that are headed by money-greedy bandits. Myself, I just live life the best I know and try to be a good person. In the end, it is God who will be my Judge and not the world or any of it's bandits. There is only one real Friend who will endure throughout eternity. We can honor That within each other (Namaste) and walk away from those who harbor only darkness and deceit; it is ultimately that One who will be with us even after the body falls away. The world will be the world - it is hopeless to do battle with the world; rather do battle within our own hearts and cultivate Goodness and Love, Compassion and Mercy.

Kickingbird, I have written what I believe about the bible in the Mel Gibson "The Passion.." thread. I heard a lot about "being a Good Person" theory until I read the bible myself. In the end it is between you as an individual and God himself. That is my two cents.
