Just a heads up, channel 5 are showing 'Exit Wounds' on UK terrestrial television for the first time this week.

Should be uncut too. :)

I'm pretty sure it's being screened on monday at 9pm. :)

Thanks for the info Craig, but if it's on Channel 5 at 9pm believe me the last thing it will be is uncut. They usually cut the 'f' word out up until about 9.45pm and they never let a certain curse which rhymes with brother trucker through in 9pm films at all. Also all of the even mild bone crunching, the bouncer being beaten with the chain and most likely a good deal of shooting will be cut out. C5 have previously hacked to pieces On Deadly Ground, Nico, Marked For Death, Fire Down Below and The Patriot, some of which were even shown an hour later at 10pm. It's a crying shame when TV has a watershed and still refuses to show films after it without destroying them.

All the more reason to buy his films,so we can watch them in peace at a time that suits us and not cut by the nannys who censor them. It's a dear do though.I think his last 4 cost me nearly 80 pounds.Well HPD was a present but you know what i meant.
How are you Steve anyway?
Craig good work putting it in.It got a good review in my tv mag, though it says Seagal is chunky lol.

Exit Wounds

Hi Craig, I'm not too bad how about yourself? Nice to meet fans so close to home, it's good to know there are Seagal fans like myself close by. I think you have the same TV mag as me by the sound of it, though it's a little wrong as he's really not chunky in Exit Wounds at all, I think they've been getting their Exits mixed up with their Half Past Deads. It's a shame C5 are showing it as they do cut everything to ribbons, they used to show Marked For Death pretty much unscathed but it's more and more cut everytime it's on now, even worse than the UK video which takes some beating. I'd have rather BBC1 got their hands on Exit Wounds as they seem a lot better these days than they used to be, though they're still reluctant to show uncut films the BBFC have cut to bits (hence the massacred version of Under Siege 2 they recently screened).

Guys .....

Did any of you notice in television magazine that comes with the sun that their advice on this movie is "to avoid this film at all costs" .......how the hell can they say this Exit Wounds was a good comeback film for seagal ! , just goes to show i guess that not everyone rates seagal .......

Well the tabloids are scum after all. I've long felt they should call their products crappapers because that's usually what they're filled with rather than news.

Unfortunately most of the region 2 dvd's are cut too. If possible you should get the region 1 dvd's from www.playusa.com. They are a little more expensive, but they are uncut.

Make sure your dvd player is region free first though. ;)

HPD was 20 pds from MVC.BOTB was 17 and the others similair price, but they are always dear when you buy them as new releases.Far as Seagal and his critics go,they suck a large one.The guy never gets a break far as they are concerned.

erm, excuse me, Storm, but it sounds as if you are saying that Seagal sucks...
Careful now, I might get real sensitive about that, you know I gotta defend my
darling at all costs, can't let anyone insult him...
I know exactly what you meant though, I'm just kidding you, Storm...:)

Lotus, what the heck are you talking about?Delirious or what? You're so scared of the word "sucks" that you don't even pay attention at who it refers to.Storm says that critics suck and Steve is always on the go.Be careful when you read.:D

Daily TV Marketplace - Soap fans split for crime feast
(Posted 27/04/2004)

Almost 12 million viewers were glued to their screens for 90 minutes last night – but neither ITV1 nor BBC One could retain viewers as a new thriller and Morgan Freeman movie kicked in.

Steven Seagal’s Exit Wounds (the film, not a medical examination) on Five at 9pm grabbed 2.5 million viewers, overrunning Channel 4’s Time Team by around 200,000 viewers.

A fix of two episodes of Coronation Street on ITV1, sandwiching the 30-minute Monday night offering of EastEnders, all pulled in around 11.5 million viewers between 7.30 and 9pm.

But ITV1’s latest stab at a detective thriller, the two-part Fallen at 9pm, starring Jonathan Cake (pictured), only managed to attract 5.5 million viewers and a 24.7%.

The Morgan Freeman-led movie Kiss the Girls, BBC One’s offering at 9pm, pulled even less, with 4.9 million viewers and a 21.6% share.

However, the break for the news at 10pm did not put viewers off, with 4.4 million returning at 10.35pm for the second part of the movie.

The slow build-up to the forthcoming Bank Holiday weekend snooker-fest has given BBC Two a gradual increase in viewers for its live coverage of the tournament from 9 to 10.30pm.

Around 2.4 million fans tuned for last night’s offering before Newsnight, although only 943,000 grabbed the matchsticks to keep their eyes open for the late-night session at 11.20pm.

Exit Wounds

Channel 5 predictably cut Exit Wounds to pieces, by even more than I thought they would. A good deal of 'f' words were cut, as were lots of kicks to knee-joints, throat-chops, face beatings, shots of knives and I'm fairly sure that every single shooting in the climax was cut to some extent. The deaths of the two chief villains were predictably cut and even some shots of topless girls in the club were censored too. It's not even that violent a film, C5 should be ashamed!

What TV has come to be (LOL it rhymes ... it could be a song)

LOL Steve, it really is a shame. You should've seen the TBS version of the strip club in Exit Wounds. They actually used some CGI and put the tops on the topless girls.

Tbs

It's a crying shame isn't it, destroying such a good film. I caught the TBS prints of Fire Down Below and Out for Justice when I was over in America, there wasn't too much left in either of them. Though it was nice to see those extra scenes in Out for Justice which don't appear in the video.

yudansha

A Premiere? Is there another meaning?

Yeah, I was just gonna say the same. Out For Justice was not cut. It's his later movies that get cut, but none of the classics.

It's too bad though. Exit Wounds is one of my favourites, and I have it on DVD, but the people who don't - they have to watch the 'unoriginal' world premiere. ... And why does TBS keeps calling its movies World PREMIERS when they've played the movie before and when other stations have shown the movie already?

Therefore I'm planning to run a Steven Seagal cinema here to show his original uncut movies(well, first gotta get them myself) ...However,wondering,how many people would be visiting that cinema...Me,myself and I?

Out for Justice

When I saw Out for Justice on TBS Yudansha it was cut to ribbons, every single curse word was cut as was almost all of the violence. The ending was so heavily cut you didn't even see William Forsythe's face during the fight and it didn't make sense anymore. There were also cutting room floor shots from different angles during the opening fight and the butcher shop brawl to help cover all the edits. Even the dog at the end didn't pee on the guy anymore!

TBS - the good, the bad, and the ugly! :=)

Steve, what I'm saying is that TBS doesn't cut Seagal's classics anymore (only some language, but very minimal ... AND none of the 'violence').
