Reading a Martial Arts magazine issue of 1998 I came across an article about so called Combat JKD.Has anybody ever heard of this?

I thought JKD was already a Combat Art. Wonder what Master Lee would think about that

I read about one dude who claims to have created his own new extremely effective style and they called it Combat JKD.I don't remember his name but the author of the article was persuading that in comparison with this fight system all the rest of the martial arts are BS...Can you believe it?

I'm not surprised..someone thinks their style is the only-greatest one around,has nothing worthwhile to share with anyone.

It's probably the stuff by Christopher Clugston (although he now goes by "Christophe"). It is put out by TRSDirect.com. The ad you saw is like most of the TRS stuff. If you read all their ads, you will see that they all claim to be unbeatable. Aside from the overhype, TRS generally puts out some quality stuff. I have a number of their tapes and have been mostly satisfied in the past. Clugston claims to have somehow discovered how the gladiators fought, for life and death, and claims his system is based on that. My opinion: there is some good stuff in there, but don't buy into the hype too much.
