I'm in aikido classes !!!!!

Finally !!!!! one of my dreams will come true !!!!!!!!
Thursday, September 25, my first aikido class, I'm so excited !!!!!
I'd like to know from the aikido practicers here, if you have any hint to say, I'll appreciate a lot !!!!
I will have to take a bus to other city, 2 hours by bus, because in my city there is no aikido classes, and the closest city that has, the schedule doesn't match with my work time... but it's not a problem !!!!!

If you love it right away, great go for it, and if you don't, then give it little time. Let aikido hook you, even if the instructors don't.

Excellent i really hope you enjoy it! im going to presume this is your first step into martial arts!

when you enter the dojo you will need to bow and the same on leaving!
as for what you may do that will depend on your sensei, most classes start with a warm up that may include running on the spot, jumping, stretching exercises etc.
you will probably be taught ukemi otherwise known as breakfalls! they seem a bit daunting at first but dont be afraid of it, its not really as bad as you think!

all you really need to do is relax and enjoy what you are being shown, if you dont understand anything then dont be afraid to ask! that is what the sensei is there for!

anyway good luck you never know one day you might be the next seagal.

Excellent news Rodrigo!!! The only advice I can give is to keep smiling and have a lot of patience. Everybody in Aikido started out with the same first step.

Well, it was very nice !!! nice Sensei, seeing him on those black pants, oh my !!! it's very intimidating !!! and very cool !!! I'm looking forward to my turn of wearing those !!!
First class, I had only falling exercises, but it was good anyway !!!!
One sad thing is that I'll only have classes on Thursdays, because it will be very expensive to go to the other city more than once a week, I know I will take more time than the others to learn, but it's all I can do, and it's fantastic !!! aikido is "the" martial art !!
