You all know the saying:it's not how big it is.it's what you do with it that counts(not that I have any problem in that area 
)?Well,the same can also be said for film budgets.I'm sure they will be fine action flicks.

maybe Kiss Of The Dragon didn't cost very much because it was shot in France
it's difficult to make nice action/martial art flicks nowadays, even with good stunts and choregraphy, not many people will pay for this, so budgets are not very big
You have to add some comedy (Rush Hour), Sci-fi & sfx (Matrix), or thriller elements & good actors (The Hunted) to make it interesting for the audience
Seagal's fighting is less and less interesting, it looks like he's not gonna make a comedy or use wires&sfx, and lately we haven't seen him with good actors in interesting stories...
I love his older movies, but I think his next projects will be bad movies, unless he loses some weight, improve his fighting and work with a choregrapher, and make bigger budget movies like Under Siege & Exit Wounds

Perhaps the time has now come for him to make more thoughtful pictures, maybe with less action in them, or a different kind of action. He is, after all, 52 years old (and still very handsome, in my humble opinion, weight notwithstanding) and besides, one can't go on doing the same kinds of things forever, however willing the spirit might be.
He does seem to be doing - or planning to do - a lot of films in succession, though. I hope he's being sensible about taking time off and looking after himself....

Me too, TD...I really hope he is not pushing himself too hard, even though I feel he is a very strong man spiritually, I think he like anyone else needs to take care and have some time to himself to enjoy, I wish all of that for him, happiness, good health, true enjoyment...I do greatly admire his stamina though, he is a very hard worker, and obviously a very determined man...I send good wishes to him always...
