Actually I did see it. It was slightly better than Exit Wounds, even though they were like carbon copies of each other. The scene where Li fights dozens of guys in a cage was tite. He doesn't have alot of lines, but he makes up for that with bone breaking fights.

Cradle To The Grave

I had a chance to go see Cradle To The Grave over the weekend.. It was a really good movie. I think they just took the casting from Exit Wounds and put Jet Li in it. But seriously I like Jet Li and the movie was great but no comparison to Exit Wounds or any other SS movie. I would love to see maybe Steven Seagal and Jet Li co-star in a movie together. you know maybe partners . It would be great.

I'm no Jet Li fan but I do intend on going to see this movie some time..Its just a few others coming out that i want to go and see first-like Tears of the Sun(Bruce Willis's new movie).
It did do a little less than I had expected-I was guessing around 21 mil being that it was the only new wide release this weekend. Exit Wounds had a better opening weekend and it had stiffer competition(Enemy at The Gates with Jude Law). I would prefer to see Chow Jun Fat in Li's place but thats just me..I just find Li's fighting to be hilarious and so unrealistic(He always fights in Matrix mode). Cradle will be facing competition in the following weeks though so look for it to drop fast in the upcoming weeks..

The Hunted looks like it's going to be a great movie.

I can't wait for 'Basic' to come out (with John Travolta and Samuel Jackson)

As expected: Cradle drops dramatically this week in the face of real competition-expect a bigger dropoff next week too.

It's still going to turn a profit... That's all that matters.

By the way, what was the budget for Cradle? I wanna see "The Hunted" and "Basic" now that I have seem "Tears of the Sun". Movies have started to pick up some over last year though, I must admit..

I think the buget for Cradle was around $50-60...please correct me if i'm wrong.Cradle def.won't make as much as Exit Wounds did.

That seems pretty high Leon-If that is the case it wont make its profit back in North American theatres. Of course it will make a profit when the dvd and overseas totals are added in but it will be considered a dissapointment nonetheless if it dont make its budget back in North America.. I thought it was budgeted around 40-45 mil-Exit was around 35-40 million.

The budget was $25 million. It's made $26 to date, so let's assume it should wind up around $35 million domestically, with another $20 overseas. Factor in at least $15-20 in video rentals, the same or slightly higher for DVD rentals, and DVD sales, and it will see a nice profit in the long run.
