I was just wondering if the cd is of better quality than the downloadables on the download thread? In other words is it clear? Can you understand what is being sung?

It was done on purpose...

The downloads available in the "Download" section are posted to give you a little taste of the music ... seeing as it's all copyrighted, it wouldn't be very appropriate to put out the original recording's quality up for a free download. I think that was the reason given by Craig when he was explain this matter.

Someone said that the whole album is available as shareware...If so that's awful, he will lose sales of his album that way...I think Steamroller needs to investigate the matter of all the illegal copying and selling of his work that is going on...

Mainly, The Path Beyond Thought, as it was a Steamroller venture...

Hmmm, I wonder if Steven owns or co owns 'Non Solo Blues' as well?

Path beyond thought is on shareware too. It happens to most artistes. In fact, it proves the album is good for it to be there. I do not agree with shareware when it comes to ripping off indevidual artistes, but it has it's uses when it comes to the big giant corporations who continually rip off the public.

If you believe that, then you are justifying criminality...I am not saying that everyone doesn't do that at some point, but still...It takes time to realize that even though it's avaliable it is still wrong...Just because it happens doesn't make it ok...The big corps might be ripping off the public and that's disgusting, but Steven is getting ripped off this way, and it's wrong, even more disgusting as he can't keep his head above water that way...I hope someone can get it off of there, I really do...I doubt I'll ever get to speak with him, but if I did, I'd tell him about it...

Im sure he already knows Lotus.. just as all the other artists do. Tis true though... they are losing alot of money that way.

It works either way...

They loose a bit in sales, but they gain in popularity which in turn helps if they are planning to go on tour.

But there are so many more loopholes too ...

It does gain artists popularity ... but that only means that those p2p programs will be more eager to spread around these 'popular' artist's new publications.

I recently obtained my copy of Seagals CD.

Really great cd. Not all songs are great (like "Lollipop" and "Dance").
My favourite tracks are 1,2,3,6,8,10,11,13,14

These are all songs with a message and have some great music and strong singing.

Seagal doesn't have the voice to do songs like Lollipop and Dance. When my friends and family heard Lollipop they started laughing and asked if Seagal was high.

But I will recommend this cd to all fans of great music and fans of Seagal, it's a must have!

Hey get the hell off lollipop, ok? It's a really great song...My dad says it will be a big hit, and he's usually right about those number one songs...He sounds great imho, the perfect very sensually soft voice to do those types of romantic songs, it's so soothing to a girl...
He's incredible to me...
Loillipop is simply wonderful and they are both lighthearted, and upbeat...
And dance, well, just the French part alone is so seductive, and the music is really great...
Maybe the female audience would HAVE to dissagree with you....

I didn't say it was a bad song, I just said it wasn't a great song.
I enjoy listening to the cd in a whole, but I have some favorits as I already mentioned.

I don't think (don't be offended) that Lollipop would go very far in the Dutch charts. A song like "Don't you cry" or "War" has the potential to make a big hit.

There is only one problem: Seagal has to release it as a cd-single to be able to played on the radio here in Holland and as long as that doesn't happen it won't be a hit.

If Seagal does release Lollipop as a single I hope your father is absolutely right.

And that's coming from Superman!

LOL Kotegashi ... that signature of yours is funny. :D

Hey Lotussan lol you really have got to tone it down a little ... you seem to analyze every non-positive word that anybody says about Seagal in an outrage.

What's that Lollipop song about ... because it sounds like something they'd use for "Out for a Kill" bar scenes ...

Lol'n'pop

It's about lol lol lolling & popping around,in other words,a new music genre lol'n'pop...lol lol

When I read Kotegaeshi's post,it reminded it me of the song "I Got High" by some dude named Afroman.lol

Don't speak of words that are not yours...
Perhaps only he knows what they mean...
There is nothing funny about that song,
although it's lighthearted...:)

Well...let me see...

What is a lollipop for?
You can you can eat it, chew it, lick it, suck it....hmmm...oh and if it has gum in the center you can also enjoy blowing....

He is making use of gustatory imagery...I think it's very clear what he's talking about.

Look, just because you are fixated on him as nothing more than a sexual toy,
does not mean that he always thinks in that way himself...
Maybe you really wish you were his lollipop?
Maybe you are who knows...
Maybe he wrote it for you, and that is your interpretation of what he meant...
Maybe each one of us has a different feeling on what the lyrics mean...
Probably do...
I find what you said to be quite vulgar and a total disrespect for what I think he is trying to convey...
Maybe I just totally see things the wrong way or something, I dunno...

Have you ever been to college?
Have ever taken a literature course?
For a person who likes to write poetry you have a very limited understanding of poetic imagery.

If you think anything I mentioned as vulgar, then we are all vulgar my dear. A fetus in utero knows how to suckle...that's how mammals survive.
I suggest you keep your narrow view of things to yourself...it only shows your predjudice and ignorance. If he (Steve) is open minded enough to say these things in his songs, and you are so upset by it... Do you really think you can be with this guy? You wouldn't last a second....

He even says the "F" word several times...I guess he is as vulgar as I.
