I have been looking at some of the locations to where a majority of you all are from.

I felt that i wanted to wish all those in the parts of the US where you have been experiencing mad wheather.

I hope that none of you have had any major problems. England rains most of the time but never has storms like these.

Good luck and stay safe.

Matt you must be from England since you know it rains most of the time.:D
Weather is different this year, even in Illinois. I think that we are experiencing some nasty stuff from Hurricane Ivan. Even thou it never made it here the weather has been different since it hit land.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone that has had bad times with this mad weather.

That's very kind of you, Matt--thank you! :) I myself am from Michigan. We get some of the aftermath of the hurricanes, but not them directly. From Thursday to yesterday it dropped 35 degrees! Thusday we had tornado sirens going off, with severe thunderstorms and it was hot and humid, and yesterday we had sweatshirts and sweaters on. :D The weather can vary greatly from one part of a state to another--and even worse from one state to another.

I do not get hurricanes like my brother does in Florida, but if you visit me in January you WILL see plenty of snow! I live in the "snow belt" of New York.

"We're not in Kansas anymore Toto" ...
Weather patterns are changing all over the world. Yes, Virginia, there is Global Warming.
Birds, insects, flowers, crops are all being affected - birds are migrating at different times, insects hatch too soon or too late for the birds to eat, flowers are blooming earlier, weather patterns are out of normal, glaciers are melting very fast, the ice around the North Pole is breaking up which affects polar bears and penquins to name a few, Antartica ice shelf is breaking off at record rates, dumping cold into the ocean, the ocean flows which carry warm and cold water currents are being disrupted and that causes weather patterns to change, and massive hurricanes are happening in both oceans. These aren't theories - they are facts.
My area has had a much cooler summer and much rain, with plants blooming sooner and bugs breaking out all over.
There is no doubt that the effects of Global warming are being felt around the globe. The question remains: what can we do about it?
Amos- snow?! I'll send all we get to you :) Last winter I spent two days shoveling over a foot of snow off the driveway only to have it snow again ... my chiropractor loved it!

My thoughts go to the people who have been injuried or have lost their house and even more (someone).
I can't imagine what it feels what it is to be stuck an the middle of a hurricane. I just can think about the movies i've seen. But i'm sure the reality is quite more different, sader and more terrible. So I hope everybody will be good.
For the rest I agree with you Kickingbird about the global warming. Now it's really time to change our way to live. Even in a small country like Belgium and in France, we can feel this warming. In Belgium, we have almost no more snow in winter time and in the summer, it's very hot. Last year we avoided a castrophe but in France 10.000 people died from the heat. Nobody is used to that in our country. And I don't talk about all the woods we loose every year because of the heat in all Europe.
I'm really scared fir the future :( .
The politicians should talk less and act more

Hurricane Season!

We can call this year a freak storm, 3 Hurricanes hitting Florida and still 3 more Hurricanes erupting.
