Ghenghis Khan

The upcoming Steven Seagal Biopic of Ghenghis Khan is being offered to Major Studios Warner Bros and Miramax. The epic budgeted at $60M will start filming next year in China.Seagal's next film,The Yakuza, will start filming very soon.

Wow,$60m is a massive budget for a Seagal movie,I sure hope Warner Bros.takes it.As Warner/Franchise are behind both The Yakuza & The Rescue(or whatever it's called!)I would be very surprised if Warner didn't pick it up.It's going to be very interesting to see the cast for this one!

Peace,

Leon

Filming with Chinese

I don't trust the Chinese, but then they aren't fond of me either. Most Chinese are openly prejudiced against the Mongols especially Ghengis Khan. I can just imagine a histoical film they help make.

A lot of news about Ghenghis Khan is just not making sense to me..Can anyone see a major studio like Warner Bros offering to make an epic Ghenghis Khan film with a 60 million dollar budget with Seagal at this point in his career with everything else that he is making going straight to dvd? I would like to see Ghenghis Khan made with Seagal and some other good cast members but I dont see a period piece like this making a whole lot at the box office either.
Why would Warners and other studios turn down making US3 with Andrew Davis directing to make a period piece movie with Seagal. I hope it is made true to life and with all the swordplay and the violence of Khan. I guess they may be thinking of it as a serious action period piece similar to Braveheart or Gladiator. I just dont know about this one and who will direct it?

I wish him success, I think it could be a phenomenal film if it is done correctly...Hope US3 is in the works as well...

There was one Genghis Khan made by the Chinese in 1998.I've seen the movie on TV a while ago but it was all in Chinese and I had to read Estonian subtitles what is also a bonebraking and while reading them and trying to translate I missed what was going on on the screen. And my impression of this movie was so-so.I'd say they didn't portray the main character as genuine and relevant to the historical facts. He seemed to me too small and as I read about the real Genghis Khan he was very tall, over 2 meters tall, and he had red hair and yellow eyes...Seagal should work on his makeup very well.If he does he'll get an Oscar for that.

Did they use body armor in Ghenghis Khan's day? I would love to see Steven in that stuff...My knight in shining armor...Oh wow...A whole new reason to drool....Course he will probably be wearing some mean makeup...He sure can look mean and menacing sometimes when he gets mad...I think he's probably just a big teddy bear most of the time, though...Right, girls? :D Hug me, Oh, ba-by..... ;) :D ;)
