Has Seagal changed his acting style?

Yes he is more laid back but I see that as a kinda cool persona for his films and works well now he is (a little) older, I must admit though watching Marked For Death the other day seeing Seagal run, shout and be really animated was a pleasure.

exactly man the only thing I can say i disagree with in this post is the word cool, Id use a different word lol. Maybe Dead, lazy, etc. So in some ways the Seagal that I liked did retired in 92, cause he is now a southerner that barely moves.

People keep saying he is more layed back, which is true to a certain extent, but when you see those lethal and brutal bone breaking fight scenes as you say in Today You Die, you can not really say he is more layed back.

The main change in his acting style which alot of people did not say was his tone of voice. It is a Southern and very short lined accent. That is the main change, is his accent in his voice, it sounds country, it sounds the way it did in Fire Down Below just a little deeper and shorter.

All of you know exactly that OFAK for example was 100% Seagal. He chose every person of the crew, he hired an Academy Award winner production designer, his old editor, who was the editor of his classic movies, a famous music video director who has a unique style and thoughts about filmmaking. OFAK was Seagal's business, why would he ruin that with half-hearted attitude?

Maybe some of you don't like that movie. But for example it was the 11th most watched movie this year on Hungarian television - counting every station, and every aired movie (in front of for example Star Wars EpII, and Seagal's old movies!!).

So, please, belive me: most of the Seagal's fans doesn't see him as an old, fat, inmobile, bored ex-star. Of course as his age advances, he gets other types of roles, but a fan who thinks a bit, understands, that for example Jake Hopper - with a 25 year old daughter! - would be a joke with the attitude of Gino Felino.

Yes exactly, i never say i don't liked it. OFAK was one of his best DTV Movies because of one importan point: It has a lot of good fightscenes.... :) And im sure he's working hard, but im sure too that he didn't enjoy making films like he did some years ago, but thats normal!
