The Buddha is absent,
Thus, ritual and offerings are futile.
Within the peak experience of the guru's grace
The Buddha is present,
But will the fortunate recipient see it?

While not fearing that which is here now?

Happiness is under the control of [one's] thoughts
And thoughts are under the control of suffering.
What is there as powerful as suffering?
