Man On Fire

Has anyone seen this movie?

I just got done watching it, and I'm not ashamed to say that the GMan (almost) shed a tear at the end - it is so sad!

Denzel Washington is awesome in this film, and, in case anyone doesn't know what it's about - he plays a burnt out ex-CIA agent ( sound familiar? :D ) who is basically drinking himself into oblivion until he finds a reason to live again in the shape of a little girl who he is hired to protect. Gradually, she breaks down his barrier of anti-socialism and he becomes good friends with her and when she is kidnapped, he exacts a "firestorm of vengeance" on those responsible.

Excellent movie and thoroughly recommended.

I liked it...

I think it's the best movie I've seen lately. Denzel delivered a great performance as usual.

Sad ending but Denzel Washington is a very good actor...can't recall the name of the movie he was in trying to get his little boy the surgery he needed so he took hostage the ER room

John Q was pretty good - I agree, Denzel is always good.

Man On Fire rocked - Mason - you should definitely check it out, if only for the inventive ways in which Denzel kills his enemies! He sticks an explosive charge attached to a radio receiver up one dude's a$$hole and then pages the receiver as he walks off with his sunglasses on. Result: one fiery enema! Ha ha ha!

A very good movie really enjoyed it i like the way it had a slower pace to start so the characters were developed and the relationship was believable which made the second half all the more sweet, Dakota is a great actress to match Denzil she's one of the few child stars you forget is a child shes a great actress. The ending was downbeat but I think it fitted well more realistic they could have took the easy way out and done the typical happy hollywood ending. Anyone seen the alternative ending on the dvd (it's called the Denzil ending as it was his idea) It's still the same outcome but he gets the last laugh in a way.

I want your job, you watch movie's at work?

I'm a Security Guard for Best Western Hotel, I walk around, then when I'm done. I go into the front desk and watch T.V half of the time. My boss just bought a 52' Flat Screen HDTV and it's killer, I was watching Glimmer Man and I told my Girlfriend *She works with me too* I told her "OOOOOOOOOOOH, Look who's on again!" She looks, then goes "Again?" I would say about 75% his movies are on, if not him then Jean Claude Van Damme *WOOT WOOT* I watch Walker Texas Ranger too *GO CHUCKY* I watch it cause it kills most of my time, Once the show is over I go home. :)

Hmmmm, Chicken *drools*

Yeah, I walked into the lobby and I just seen a Big TV in the corner I was like WOW!! Time to break in the controller heh
