Movie Premieres

Just out of intrest - what was the last Seagal release to have a movie premier where the stars and press turned up to screen the movie? Also what was the last movie premiere Seagal attended - doesnt have to have been one of his own movies.

My guess would be Exit Wounds. Not sure about Stars attending a Seagal film through. That has never happened as far as I know. At least I never read a headline saying Robert De Niro or Martin Scorsese went to the premier of the new Steven Seagal Film. Maybe some rappers turned up for the Premier of Half Past Dead to support Ja Rule ;)

Here's a Link to what you seek: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000219/photogallery-granitz-0

The answer being Bowfinger with Eddie and Steve. That's the last Film he attended that wasn't one of his own. The other being: Mission Impossible and Twister.

Hey, BillyRay. The last one I can recall him attending was the premiere of "Godzilla Final Wars" in Los Angeles on November 29, 2004, in which apparently his daughter Ayako had a role. Here's the link with some pictures from Suzi, if you're interested. :)

Its bad enough he wears that awful trench coat in his films now he wears in to Movie Premiers? I think those were taken around the time he filmed Into The Sun but that doesn't justify this. Maybe he was trying to promote the film but I doubt this. I guess in the end having Steven bring his own outfit to the set really helps the designers in charge of the clothing.

I have never heard truer words spoken then a person saying he should burn that god awful coat.

Well, now I'm even more confused. :D

But I finally had a few minutes to check, and Ayako Fujitani (Seagal) was in Gamera 3: Iris Kakusei, from 1999, with the following synopsis. How in the world did I miss a big movie like this? ;) :D

"This final installment of the recent Gamera trilogy begins with schoolgirl Ayana discovering a large egg in a cave that, according to legend, houses demons. The egg hatches into a small monster, which Ayana decides to raise and quickly develops as psychic bond with. As Ayana's monster, named Iris, grows to adulthood, the flying turtle Gamera begins to take an interest in this new potential threat. Who will be the victor in the final battle, and how much of Japan will be left standing at the end?"

This gives me hope for Seagal's future movies... as long as he doesn't find an egg in a cave, he will be OK.

Maybe Seagal could take on Godzilla? He could wear a flame retardent suit and beat Godzilla all over Japan with a series of vicious kicks and punches. Godzilla would get one punch in that sends Seagal flying to the moon, but luckily, not only is his flame retardent suit made with an indestructable titanium alloy, but it also contains breathing apparatus for use in space. Seagal could be rescued by a space shuttle and return to Earth for a final confrontation with the monster. The final conflict would have Seagal taking a new pill which increases his size to that of Godzilla (haha) and then he could finish him off by snapping his tail in half and then preforming a spectacular Aikido throw before holding the beast under the waves of the Pacific Ocean until it was dead. Oh yes...
