Need help with virus

Kat, go to the grisoft website and download the free anti-virus program which is updateable for free.
Just have patience as they send you the confirmation emails (2 of them ... 1st to allow you to download the software, 2nd to give you the number to register the software when you install it)
It's the AVG Free Edition anti-virus software:

Good luck! (don't stress out ... it takes awhile for you to see any effect on the computer by the virus, and it sounds like it's not a major one at that)

Thanks Yudansha for the info. I have anti-virus and it updates itself. I really haven't had a problem as far as that. I had a problem before with spy programs, but it's now solved.
I just wanna say that if you get a message saying that that some program that you need has been removed unauthorized (and that you need to click to download it) use common sense. Don't click on it. I've gotten a few of those. If you log on and pc is working fine...don't be fooled by those messages.
