New DMX films does bombs at the box office

DMX is obviously not as popular as he thinks he is :D!Didn't even make the top 10 LOL.

"Never Die Alone," starring rapper DMX as a dead drug dealer whose life unfolds through audio tapes he left behind, opened weakly at No. 11 with $3.1 million."

fame would bring fortune, but not for DMX this time

yep DMX ain't too bright
he went too far too fast
I guess he thought he could do it on his own, but he should've stuck to supporting roles for much longer getting help from other big stars. That fame that everybody longs for (not everybody, but you know what I mean in this case) ...

Damn that sux.

Never Die Alone, a gloomy look at lives of drugs and crime, starring David Arquette (news), rapper DMX (Earl Simmons) and DMX's sound track, couldn't bust into the top ten. The R rated Fox Searchlight release boomed into 1,160 sites, where it averaged $2,651 for just $3 million in 11th place.

Now, now, that's not nice...
But then neither is he from
what I heard...
He seems to have a huge ego...
And a filthy mouth...
Ha, and they talk about Steven
having both...
Well, I think Steven has lots of reasons
to feel important imho...
Do any of you think this box office thing
means that STV is really getting popular?
I mean do you all still go to the theater as often?
Ticket prices are way up nowadays, too...
I think it's about ten bucks or so, isn't it?

I hear he's giving up music making too.

"I refuse to give another dime to that record label, Def Jam," he said. "I made $144 million in one year for them. Guess how much they gave me? Nothing ... They loaned me $3 million towards my next album, so I owe them two more albums. They give you money, but then they take it back. It's robbery, man. I can't be part of it anymore."

Yes I heard that too...
He feels underappreciated, I guess...
Like Steven said in OFJ, that makes you feel useless...

Guess it just couldn't compete with Scooby Doo-2, which grossed about $30 million, eh? :D
