Why would I have to ask Steven Seagal what a 'fan' means? He is no dictionary. ... and what's your problem Lotussan? I am a fan of Steven Seagal. I am not however a fan of the crew that works alongside him, as the work quality is not up to the same degree.

Oxford and Webster both agree on this:

fan n. a person enthusiastic about a specified sport, pastime, or performer; devotee

In this sense, I would classify myself as a fan of a performer, Steven Seagal.

In this sense, I am not a Steven Seagal fanatic. Catch my drift? ... any more problems? ... bring them on and I'll help you solve them.

I don't see any conflict or argument here ... just pointing some things out.
