LOL......like those things huh???
after all these years I've never come across one that does exactly what I need....there are a million free ones....and being that they are popular they are all over "hack" sites to "crack" also...
thing is many need to be programed as you go along.......for ex: ethere was one I had that evrytime a window would pop up.it would ask if it should block it from now on...you I got tired of clicking "Yes or "No"....many sites are designed to function with pop ups.....so if I set up one not allow any pop ups I may never get to where I need to go.because it'll stop the program "dead".....also many sites know how to get around popup programs...so it really a matter of trail and error..I tried a bunch of them.....the best solution I have come across is one that will stop all popups.....but with a push of a key on the keyboard I can temp. disable it.....so if I need that certain popup I;ll get ..then just hit the key again to turn it back on......that's really about the best and most workable way I've come across.....
You think that's fun...try some of the "spam-killer" programs...
just runa Yahoo search for "pop up killers"....pop up stoppers"..pop up eliminators"...you find more than enough to try well into the next century......when you come across the "best" one..lets us know.....

mmmmmmmm..you shouldn't......what I do is download a few(they are usually very small programs).install them...play with them one at a time....what I don't like I just delete them....and go on from there....even the TV ads for Earthlink..say specifically that their popup program get rid of MOST popup ads.....the other thing is you bet you ass that the sites that don't have or even have opups are still putting ad/spyware on your PC anyway....I have to Spybot & AD-Aware every time I use the internet.....

Cool.....if a software does what you NEED it to do.....then that's all that matters.....best way to test them is to go to a site that normally drives you nuts with the popups and see how well it handles them......by if you notice that you start getting more "spam" now.......then it may be due to the "popup stopper" planting ad/spy ware on your system......many free programs do this......but this can be easily handled with free programs as Ad-Aware....version 6 is nice because it has an update you can click on to keep up with the current ad/spy ware types..........same with SpyBot....both are free....have updating(I always use manual as to not slow down my already slow connection)...and both sometimes find things the other isn't programed for....I run one after the other all the time...

lol............"spy-cam?"......that would be a video/still image camera in a hidden/discret place......
Spy-Bot was what I was meaning...it's a little software program that you run and it .goes thru your PC looking and detecting spyware and adwares plants....it'll list them and give tyou the option of deleting them from your PC..Ad-Ware does the same but is more geared to looking for Ad-ware plants dropped on our PCs by web-sites we visit...popups we click on,etc......as a cookie retain info on us such as a password when we visit a site...and spy-ware (ro)BOT our activity...then it send s the list of where we go on the internet..what we do.....and what sites we go to......it returns that info. to the companies so they can target us with more advertisement mail......same thing as the UPC code on products we purchase at stores...if paid with a credit card or check..it combines the info and send it out so we get coupons on targeted products in the mail or get put on more telemarketing phone lists.......ad/spy-ware is just completely electronic that's all......but then there are people I know that will buy a Sunday paper just to get coupons....so maybe you value these kind of things also...I don't myself....and I don't like crap being put on my PC with out my permission...
