HOLLYWOOD ACTION ZERO STARS IN COURTROOM ‘CREEPSHOW'

February 12, 2003 -- YOU can learn a lot about a man from his hair.
Aging B-movie tough guy Steven Seagal lumbered into Brooklyn federal court yesterday sporting a prim ponytail above a brown silk pajama-looking top, and with a George Hamilton perma-tan across his face.

The born-again Buddhist, proud father of six children by at least three different women, mumbled nervously at first. But then, the hair scrunchie must have shaken loose from his boot-black mane, unleashing frizzy tendrils across his shoulders that matched his prickly mood.

Seagal's ire was sparked not by a lousy review. Not even by the fact that the self-professed gun enthusiast was forced to check his weapon before coming to court.

The hero of such stinkers as "Exit Wounds" seemed to find his motivation from his adversary. Under testy cross-examination by lawyer George Santangelo, Seagal seemed to grow strangely, furiously calm.

Seagal leveled a piercing, squinty stare at the lawyer. His voice became quietly menacing.

He gave me the creeps.

Seagal didn't want to be in court. He's the kind of guy who likes to handle things his own way. When he was allegedly shaken down for dough by an ex-business partner, he didn't go to the feds - he went to a New Jersey prison to ask a reputed mobster to act as "peacemaker."

He definitely does not enjoy being cross-examined.

"This is insane. Insane!" Seagal yelled at one point, alternately smirking and glaring at Santangelo.

"I mean, I'm not on trial here!" he said, his raspy voice, at this point, threatening to break into a whine.

Was Seagal the victim of an extortion plot cooked up by former business partner Julius Nasso, along with reputed Gambino capo Anthony "Sonny" Ciccone? Well, in Hollywood, after all, it can be tough to tell the crooks from the accountants.

And the bad guys from the bad actors.

At the climax of his performance, Seagal raged at Santangelo, "You wanna scream at me? You wanna play this game?"

Hey, this beats paying $9.50 for a ticket. It may be the performance of Seagal's career.

The woman is just a jerk. She was just trying to trash talk Steven. She doesn't know anything about him and was just looking for a headline. So the only thing she could talk about was his appearance and slam his family. Why is it okay for Elizabeth Taylor to have so many husbands, but Steven Seagal should have only had one wife? What a double standard!! I hope everything is finally over with this trial and he can get on with his life and make more movies.

media is going to trash him, because he does his thing his
own way and does not bother with what they say about him. Your also right that his smile would make any one write nice things about him

Hi All. Suzi, we all feel the same way. I believe that Steven is uncomprising about his lifestyle and some people just cant stand that. He is his own man, lives his life in peace and with grace and wishes the same for all people. That is one of the reasons we love him.
I dont know whats up with that woman. Maybe she smiled at him & he poked his tongue out at her. Who knows?
Exit Wounds a stinker? It was his highest grossing film!
You can tell a lot about a man by his hair? What the hell does that mean? Is his hair longer and shinier than hers? Her whole article was a stinker and lets leave it at that.

Well done Steven Seagal, he didn't let that scum bag attorney take him on, and try to make him look bad. We all know his menacing smirk on the screen and now off. Steven Seagal is too calm for this attorney to break. I wish Steven and his family well in the future, and that reporter is the type of critic Steven is up against, they even say his movies are stinkers when they are successes. Just shows us that we should totally ignore critics. Keep calm in life everyone.

draining and he is most likely suffering from
jet-lag!
His "hair band" that holds his hair back came loose?
Oh man!!! I wish I had been there! His hair falling
