Movies Submerged Trailer Released!

You can now download the trailer for Steven Seagal's next release: Submerged.

When news regarding this movie first appeared it was stating Steven Seagal would be pitted against underwater monsters, but by the looks of things from the trailer, there are none to be seen.

I just want to post my 2 cents on the subject matter. But since I am a writer and somewhat busy I won’t be able to really argue if some of you disagree with me and start to attack me with replies. This is just my opinion and I am not forcing anyone to agree with me.

I have been a fan of Steven’s since I was a child. Through he was always a bit behind Jean Claude Van Damme in my book, but maybe that’s because Van Damme made more films. I am still a fan now through obviously Sensei has declined. He himself along with his career. The weight gain bothered me a lot. Because no self respecting Martial Artist(I used to be one) would allow himself that. And it all started happening in late 1997 with Fire Down Below. And then came that god awful trench coat. Probably another reason for his failures. It’s like a bad luck charm. I agree with some people on other forums that he should burn it. I understand why he wears it, to conceal his weight, but aren’t there others? And they don’t have to be leather. To me it seems like he is playing the same character in his last films. Now I did enjoy Belly of the Beast, and Out for a Kill at least gave me two entertaining fights through the rest had the potential before Oblowitz ruined them. I liked Foreigner for its plot but its lack of action was quite hurtful to us fans. Out of Reach is hard to like and lets just say other than the fight in the lodge and maybe the ending sword fight it’s really a terrible movie.

Now moving on to this Trailer. Over the two years I been a member of this MB I kept telling people I am not a fanatic and that is why when I saw the Trailer my heart didn’t melt and I didn’t jump up from my chair with joy. I am a realistic fan and I sadly didn’t see anything much interesting in that Trailer to call it amazing. When you break it down sure it seems to have a nice Budget or at least it looks good from whatever money they spent. Steven lost some weight which I respect but he should have never got there in the first place. But he is yet again wearing that god awful trench coat. Showing one quick clip of a single fight isn’t very good advertising. Even Into The Sun showed clips from all the fights mostly. And frankly I don’t like how Steven is very robot like with the weight. In Under Siege we seen him climb things and move around. In his past movies he just seems to walk in and that’s it. It seems very unnatural to me.

Bored everyone enough so just going to wrap this up. No I am not going to quit being a fan until I see Today You Die. It’s written by someone who was responsible for Replicant and In Hell with Van Damme. Two gritty, violent, and intelligent films. I think it’s a chance to see Seagal act and break limbs like he used to. I know we always try to see some good in every film he makes. But sometimes it's very difficult because of the films he chooses. Sometimes there's sadly very little good in them.

Just watched the trailer (thanks for it Craig), and honestly.............I'm not very impressed.

The quality looks okay, but the trailer doesn't reveal much story and certainly doesn't show much action.

But I'm a die hard fan and will certainly watch it. Besides I've seen Into the sun and that was already a major step forward in quality, I'm hoping this one is another step forward.

Thanks. It's an amazing news and trailer. I want to see how Seagal kicks Gary Daniels ass. He's back on the ship again. Sad It will be again only DVD realease. But I hope he will finally return to the big screen...:)

OMG....
I just watched the trailer for 'Submerged' and WOW.
Ok so the trailer wasn't brilliant but it was pretty darn good and my expectations of 'Submerged' have increased tenfold. Seagal looks to be in good shape too and the film seemed to have a good dose of action. At least we have a trailer for this film which is better than his last few films. Also this is a positive step considering the film doesnt even have a release date yet...hopefully it will be soon...

I finally seen the trailer to the movie and I must say it looks pretty good, I've been keeping major track on his upcoming movies and this is the one that I can't wait for *along with Today You Die* I'm still a major fan of his Belly of the Beast movie cause that movie holds it down.

That's the whole point. ;) The trailer should be short so it makes the fans want to know what the movies about so they actually go out and see it. :D

Ok so heres the deal. I was very disapointed that I purchased the american version of Into the Sun and it didn't contain the Submerged trailer. So what I did was, I rented Into the Sun from blockbuster, and switched it out with the one I bought. The best part is the DVD from blockbuster was in similar condition to mine and had to marks from blockbuster (stickers or permenant maker).
So I'm very happy, I have the version with the sumberged trailer and 5 other trailers that aren't included on the american version. Also the canadian version has a language section where you can chose french/english audio or subtitles.

Okay, I'll risk sounding ignorant. :D What, please, are "screen caps"?
