The current situation with all these so-called 'projects' might be down to a studio aquiring a contract with Seagal, and then putting out as many different teaser posters/plots as possible for film fairs (Cannes, etc) and then going with whichever one sells (if not all of them) It's quite disheartening to think of such mercurial tactics applied to the art of film-making (but *maybe* one or two good films might materialise out of this lot?)

No link, but according to FB the director is already in Thailand for preparation. Also on the new aintitcool interview Seagal mentioned he will go to Thailand.

If I am correct, he is still looking for someone who is going to play the role of Jack. I thought Steven was going to play this role, because this is the lead character. Maybe I am missing something...?

So filming starts in a couple of weeks and they're only now starting to cast the LEAD roles?

And they're only casting locals for the caucasian roles, which means that their choices will be very limited naturally. I read that Gary Daniels lives in Thailand, maybe he's a possibility, would like to see him.

Also doesn't leave much time for training for the fight scenes. Have they announced who's the fight coreographer? At least Thailand has plenty of great stunt guys.

I expect Seagal to have another FOE type role, he'll come in there for a week or two and then leave. They'll sell it as a Seagal movie but some random white guy living in Thailand will play the lead.

I welcome the change of scenery and possible cool martial arts stuff (even if they don't have much time to rehearse) but don't expect a lot in terms of Seagal.

But I'll rip my hair out if he's wearing tactical gear again.

That trailer looks low-budget (but in a good way) I'm sure this guy gets the most from his limited resources.

BTW, the Chinese chick in that trailer is gorgeous :)

Did Seagal (maybe) dropped out because of a delay of filming (scheduling conflicts with other projects?) ? I mean the project was announced with Seagal just a few days ago...and now it looks like they are casting someone other?

No I think Seagal is still attached. They only announced it a few days ago and have been selling it in Cannes.

Seems to me like he might play the drug lord kingpin the main characters steal money from, or a supporting role of some sort.

But he's definitely not the lead since they're still casting them and the character's are described to be in their 40's.

Another quickie role for Seagal it seems.
