Serena: aroma therapy and white noise. I used to work these insane hours 3:30am until noon. I would try to go to bed at 7 or so...and in the summer when it's still light out...well, forget it. I would take a warm bath in that lavender baby bath stuff, then spray my pillow with lavender pillow spray (Bath and Body Works has a bunch of varieties...my personal favorite is lavender/vanilla), I would also spray the front of my PJ's and the top of the sheet. Turn on a little fan, and I would be off in dreamland.
Thanks for the tips! :)

I can't take aroma therapy or candles for more than a short time--they start choking me and I have trouble breathing, close up my throat, make me gasp for air. :rolleyes: :D

And I don't like baths. :D I'm not the type to lay there.
Makes me nervous--gotta be moving! :D Showers for this girl.

I do use a fan for noise, though! I even suggested that to a friend the other day. :)

Thanks for the ideas, though! :)
Any other ideas up your kimono sleeves? :D

sometimes when I can't sleep I use color neons in my bedroom;the more distorted the colors are the better and quicker I go to sleep!LOL
Maybe Glimmer is going to say tha ti am unhinged;he's rightLOL;
for instance I have a Hard Rock cafe clock witha huge ;not so huge anyhow;I lit it and turn off the othe rlights!
I am then bathed in a red glow and it relieves my tensions,after this and a good cigarette I usually go to sleep!
I also use incense or a very dim orange light!that makes me feel better before sleep,if I don't sleep after that I feel much better and I have rest anyway!!!!which is not so bad after all! :D :D :D

Hmmmmmm lets see now.....you could probably put the baby bath stuff on one of those bath puff thingies and get all soapy with it (I can just hear Glimmerman and Lonewolf going on about watching you take a shower!!)
IN my pilates class, we do something called imprinting at the end of class. It sounds really simple...you just lay there and relax all of your muscles...starting with your feet and move up. You have to imagine gravity pushing you down, making you relax. I always visualize a purple mist running through my muscles making me relax. It's worth a try...can't hurt.
