what are peoples advance thoughts for belly of beast......

mine are

1.think it will look very cheap(only cost 18mil to make)
2.fight scenes best since exit wounds
3.better story than last 2 seagal movies
4.all far east cast...russell wong best actor seagal has worked with since exit wounds
5.hope for a better runtime than ofak....86 mins is way to short considering under siege 2 lasted almost 110

Be your self...
i really looling forward to BOTB....director Siu Tung Ching have been involved in several great films like Hero, The Duel, Shaolin Soccer,
chinese directors have a good ability to do good things out of low budgets ;)
so this will be a very intresting film...will beat OFAK i think...can´t wait.....

Well I can't think of another actor that is putting out as many movies as Seagal is lately. You can't do a good job,be in all the scenes necessary when you're doing too many at once.
Video store I was at today that sells movies was saying they're having to sell Seagal movies at $5 because no one wants them.

rastafari,
Do you know much did OFAK cost to make?
I'm sorry, but I haven't been paying attention
to those kind of details...
Also OFAK had a pretty far east cast too...
I think belly sounds very interesting, and
his ponytail is back from what I read...

yes ofak cost 20 mil but nu image the company that made it are famous for making terrible films no matter what the budget is(they made ticker as well)....these are budgets for seagals other films and who are making them(and the films they have made)

belly of beast ----18 mil----nu image(ticker, out for kill)
unleashed------20 mil----screen gems(half past dead,underworld)
out of reach---20 mil------franchise pictures(foreinger)
into the sun-----35mil-----warner bros/franchise pictures(eeks vs server,whole nine yards)

hope this helps lotus

I think not take a look at Jackie Chan the guys always making movies although the movie budgets have certainly risen since breaking america but in the early days he was always doin great quality hong kong movies.
Ok maybe the guy is super human but i tend to agree HK directors certainly know how to keep the costs down and make beter quality movies with less $ than other directors the proof will be in the watching of B O t B. i wait with baited breath....

Dear Rastafari,

My Under Siege 2 region 1 DVD runs for 99 minutes. My friend has the region 4 edition and it's the same movie. Have you got a different one you lucky man?

My VHS copy lists the runtime at 100 minutes...
I guess they are all different?
I'm now wondering what I am missing in the 10
minutes that rastafari is mentioning?
Or is that just for DVD's?

I'm looking forward to BOTB as I do all new Seagal films but I'm not expecting much this time around no matter how good the trailer looks..I'm hoping that it is better than his last 2 films and all of his new films will pick up and be better and maybe we will see a few theatrical releases in his future...
The movie I'm still most looking forward to is Into the Sun though...

On reflection, Out For A Kill wasn't as bad as I first made it out to be, but it was still bad. The main thing about it was that it had enough action scenes and explosions to make a decent (and misleading) trailer, but unfortunately the movie didn't live up to expectations. I really can't say I'm looking forward to Belly Of The Beast that much. I will buy it and I will watch it and I will try to post an unbiased review about it, but judging by recent movies, it will most probably be another half-baked effort. Besides that, Belly Of The Beast is a simply terrible title for a Steven Seagal movie and my only thought is that the man himself must either have an awesome sense of humour or no sense of irony and not care what the critics think. No bad thing really, but I fear that there will be a select few pissed off fans who are made 'very ill' once again when they read the reviews.

I don't know what difference it makes but I have a
Region 1 of US2 DVD and it runs 100 minutes.
I also have it on VHS and it also runs 100 minutes.
Maybe it has an extra minute of lead-in or something! LOL!!!
God bless,
