Watche

Hi to everyone !

I was wondering about something. What is the brand of Casey Ryback's watche in Under Siege ????

At first i thought it was a Luminox because of the white points that are surrounding the watche. but when i looked more precisely, i noticed that his watche has a digital screen at the bottom of the "cadran". Then his watche is an analog-digital watche, but i've been searching throught the Net and i can't find out what is this brand !

If anyone can help me ? If you have Under siege at home, go at the scene where he's in the galley with Jordan Tate and he's preparing a bomb with a missile. You'll see his watche fine in that scene.

By the way, in Special OPS Force, there is a character ( a black man in the first season, i don't remember his name , here is the link : http://www.meadowsstudio.com/soforce/real.htm
and he wears the same watche than Ryback.)

So please, if you have an idea of this watche brand, tell me

Thanks in advance.

Maybe someone can post a big pic of the watch like they posted
the pic of the ring...
Is the ring he is wearing in the new one photos the same ring?
Looks different to me, a little...That stuff isn't important though, what
does it matter what brand it is? I am sure he has the best of everything...
Hey, maybe his next commercial can be a watch ad, that would be cool,
he's got such gorgeous hands....:)

I search throught ALL the internet ! Damn ! i still can't find what is Ryback's watche model !

I looked on Wenger watches, but none matches with Ryback's.

I'm sure it's not a Luminox because Ryback's watche has a digital AND an analog system...

please can anyone look at Under Siege, at the moment where he does the bomb with a missile in the galley.

Thanks...

Unfortunately, that watch, made by any company, has a good chance of being discontinued in production. The movie did come out more than 10 years ago, and styles and technology are constantly changing. I tried to help you out, but this is all i could find

Pretty neat huh? Notice "Steven Seagal" in "Hard to Kill"'s watch is listed there. Other than that, i wish you luck.

One other thing

At the end of any movie, a list of the sponsors is there. For example, if the movie adverstised Ray-Ban sunglasses, the credits will say:

Thanks to:
Ray-Ban
Pepsi Co.

In that fashion. I cannot put my under siege in right now, but i know someone probably can. Welcome to the board!

Rolex ... and all that jazz

Marked for Death is also listed there ... also Rolex.

NOT Rolex in US - you can bet on that one!

First of all, I doubt that any navy cook would be wearing a Rolex on a battle ship (as a rule, it is always told/advised and recommended to leave all of the jewellery or any valuable - those with monetary value - items off of the ship, as unexpected situations may unexpectadly arise). Second, operatives such as the character of Steven Seagal in US do not wear jewellery (such as Rolex, which is nothing but jewellery) on the job (although the character was in retirement, he was still an on-duty navy seal-man). Furthermore, it was pointed out that the watch SS wore for Under Siege was electronic. Rolex never did nor does not make electronic watches. So it's very safe to say that the watch SS wore for Under Siege was not Rolex, and hence was not as expensive (although may just be as valuable) ... plus, electronic devices lose value with time (as such things will never be considered classic to be considered more valuable).

This is true. But you might be surprise about the cost of the watch. remember the norton handheld device seagal had in under siege 2? Im sure this wasnt cheap. Plus its a movie, all about endorsements. It might be a very cheap digital watch, or something that was very technologically advanced for its time. I still recommend someone check the credits of the movie to see who the sponsors are.

Digital not priced as much, not even close.

Well, it depends what your budget is and what you consider to be cheap or expensive. Those Rolex watches are bottom of the line (still good quality but not their flagship models) and still cost over two grand (U.S.) each. Digital watches are not priced much over $500 ... and that's for top of the line multi-functional type that's very reliable with a long lasting battery.

Hopefully Soviet quartz model kinda like my father had ages ago.I'd say they're eternal as the battery is high...

Quartz not digital.

Quartz lol Tora I won't believe it 'till I see it. Not even Soviet watches batteries' can have such long battery life. Perhaps he replaced the battery many times. The mechanism may be reliable but batteries still need to be changed. Plus, quartz watches are not digital.
