I saw 1 inbetween the clouds. I wasn't going to stay outside for long because I knew that I wouldn't see much, but seeing 1 is fine with me.:D

I didn't hear about that Amos. Was everyone OK? You are right about never knowing what will happen on any day.

You sure what you saw was a meteor now Kathy? Not a UFO :)

Ice chunks smash through house near Seattle

Associated Press
Nov. 12, 2004 10:15 AM

KENT, Wash. - Investigators are trying to identify the source of ice chunks that smashed through the roof of a house in this Seattle suburb last week, landing on the bed of a 7-year-old girl.

They believe the ice formed on an aircraft and broke free, potentially indicating a mechanical or design problem, said Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Mike Fergus.

"It's a safety issue," Fergus said. advertisement

Investigators are certain it was not "blue ice," which comes from leaking airplane lavatories, he added.

Troy Halte said his family returned home Nov. 4 to find a hole in the ceiling of their daughter's bedroom and five chunks of ice on the bed, three of them "the size of grapefruit." Three more chunks had fallen in the back yard.

Fergus said FAA officials are reviewing air traffic control tapes to check for planes that passed over the neighborhood that afternoon.

Boeing Co. officials say ice can form on the leading edge of airplanes under some weather conditions, but a company official said she had never heard of the ice falling off and hitting the ground.

At least it wasn't yellow ice. ha ha ha. I know not funny to the little girl, but if you had to have chunks of ice land on your bed would you like them to be white, blue or yellow???
I like white ice 'cause then it's pure.

Amos you never know I could of seen a UFO. It was about 3:30 in the morning that I went outside. With only 1 cup of coffee in me it could of been anything.
I'm glad to hear that no one was home when the ice fell though the roof of that house. Something like that could of killed anyone in it's way. Then you have to think blue ice. YUCK. At least no one was hurt. Did it say anything about the plane co. paying to get their roof fixed? That's the least they could do.

Bet no particular airline would stand up & offer to take the blame! Good thing the kid wasn't in bed at the time or she would need a shrink for the rest of her life-in fear the sky was falling

Littledragon don't be discourage about the game. My son's high school has only won 2 games in the last 3 years. The only reason that I know this, is because I work with a guy who is in his 4th year in the high school. Maybe next time they will win.:)
