Will Forever Do?

I'm looking for information about a song that appears on the "Fire Down Below" soundtrack. There is scarcely even one refrain of it which is played; it's a waltz which takes place during the scene when Steven Seagal's character dances with the female lead, (and shortly before he meets the Kristofferson character for the first time).

I assume the name of the song is "Will Forever Do?" One line which I have caught is this: "You ask me how long I will love you. Will forever do?"

If you have any information on this song, including confirmation on its title, the songwriter, the performing artist, the lyrics, and any album it appears on, I would be very grateful if you would let me know. All the web sites I have seen on this soundtrack seem to mention every song BUT this one.

Thanks.

Sorry Peaceful, I don't know...But welcome to the board! I hope you get an answer...I would like to know also...I watched last night too, he's the greatest, too charming, huh? Great movie!

Btw, can anyone tell me what the name of the song is and who sings the song that plays at the start of the truck chase scene?

And now a message to the man of honor...

Dearest Steven,
I adore you! I wish you all good things!
I wish you joy, happiness, good luck, good health, peace, and safety!
I love you, sensei!
ALWAYS!

come get some
Yeah, it's a lovely little song. I like it a lot, in fact I'm humming it right now.

But there's not much info on it, I checked the amazon listings for the Fire Down Below soundtrack and it doesn't seem to be on there... :(

The only other solution is to check the end credits of our FDB tapes/DVDs and see who sung/wrote it...

Note of Thanks

Thank you all for the warm welcome. This song I speak of (in the inaugural post of this thread) just won't let me go. I first took note of it two and a half years ago, (it didn't register when I saw FDB in the theatre); and it has had ahold of me ever since. Every few months I will perform another web search for it -- to no avail. (And when I saw FDB again on TV the other night, I thought perhaps I would look for communities of people who might appreciate this kind of thing.)

Isn't it odd that all references to the Fire Down Below soundtrack make no mention of this particular song -- notwithstanding that it's clearly a part of the final cut of the film? I don't mean to overstate, but to me the song has such a sweet feeling, one that captures both the films beautiful location and the relationship of the male and female leads. (The melody and waltzing lilt of the acoustic guitars echo in my mind even now.)

I've looked also at the Internet Movie Database in the hope of finding this song listed among the credits, but, again, it's no go.

Incidentally, FDB is perhaps one of Seagal's top two best films in my view -- the other being the original Under Siege. Of course, the latter lacks the former's more poignant moments and positive message of love of the land and common people -- but it excels for pure action/adventure and Tommy Lee Jones is perhaps Seagal's best foe.

Ah well, maybe someone in this community will know of it. Meantime, thanks again for your welcome and for your suggestions for places to look. I'm following up on them.

Good Idea Amos...I just checked my tape and what do you know...:D
Seems this song was co-written by the man himself, the credits list Steven as
co-writer, along with marty stuart, errrrr, did I spell his name right?
What a great song...Seems like sensei has a real bit of the south in his blood...
Hey Steven baby, wanna have a little fling with this country gal? ;) ;) ;)
Just kidding honey, no flings for this gal, but you sure are awfully tempting, that's for sure...:)
