I am a Seagal fan from many years and while I may seem critical of him much of the time it's really because I can see his ability and potential wasted by him.
He needs to do a couple of things. First, he needs to get in shape. I realise this is difficult at his age and means a significant change in lifestyle.
Second, he needs to take his career more seriously. Yes, money is important, but his artistic contribution and his legacy are things that can't be bought.
Third, money is the bottom like in 'show buisness' and he needs to seek out projects that involve the injection of significant funds. He needs not only good production values, but good scripts, A-Grade directors, photography, editing and musical scoring.
As I said, I am a real Seagal fan. There are few, if any, other action stars that are a charasmatic and talented as he is. At his best he is both dynamic and funny e.g. Underseige 1 and 2. At his worst his in movies like Attack Force are a real embarassment and beneath him. (Note: In this film he apparently couldn't even be bothered to do post production dubbing!)
Finally, he needs to listen to those around him who are genuinely concerned about the quality of his career and his own lifestyle. They hopefully would encourage him into quality projects and and all of us will be the more happier for it.
Just my two cents.
