HAHAHAHA!I sang this morning and the weather has suddenly deteriorated!!!!
the karaoke spot where we used to go has closed down!!!
The guy who owned was really someone very nice and he did not do it for money only!He did it because he liked to have fun!!!

in my area, there's a lot of cafe's where there's a karaoke. So, people go there on the w-e to have fun. I've been once with a friend......but just to take a look because i had never seen people doing karaoke.
well.......there's no way that i sing in such a place ......:D
Actually, what i liked it's see the choice of people who sing. ;)

I've seen lots of people singing in karaoke. I think it's more fun to see those who are nervous, but still have the guts to get up there and sing in front of others--I know I sure don't. :D You can always tell those who go to lots of sessions--they usually have a decent voice and know all the words.

I love singing with my patients, who are children. I've not heard any complaints yet--but then again, I know all the words to their favorite shows. :D

And besides--they're a captive audience. ;) :D

As Steven once said in an interview:"Music is the Language of the Gods!"
I most strongly agree!!!
Well to be Honest ,the first singing times I had to use a little alcohol to help me with the stress of singing!
that was not cool but I am a Human being!
After a few days there I sang without help!
Your Job looks most fascinating Serena!
I have been a teacher before working at this Hotel and I found it more difficult to deal with Young Kids than older students!Maybe because the
regulating authority in School went crazy at that time!
When I was first faced with A Classroom I loved it!!I felt like a Rockstar
onstage!
We studied songs!I am telling you almost A Secret but I gave the song "Wildchild" by you-know-who to some classes!
The students enjoyed it!but the principal did not like it at all!LOL!
I think I failed because I had four extra hours a week and as a teacher that was a lot more work!you know preparing the lectures and correcting the Homework and stuff!!!
With young Kids it was Fantastic too but I liked it less because I had some extra work to do too!
The Principal wanted us to do 6 More hours a week and check all the textbooks at the end of each class! That ruined the business!!!
These are the negative aspects! The Positive ones were that using Music to help them learn English was Fantastic!!!!

That is funny!!!
That is good you make use of music as a tool!!
Our teachers in the states are under paid and not appreciated!! We never have enough and the children are the ones who suffer!!
Alot go into teaching and then leave for higher paying position's without the stress!!

In Belgium, education has become terrible too. There's no motivation from any sides. Nor from the teachers, nor from the students... Almost every year, the politicians change the education system. Everybody is lost in the system.Besides, with our strange federalist system, there are at least 3 ministers of education. How could the system be coherent and work. It's getting worse and worse. We used to be a state famous for its level of education. Now we're nowhere!!!
I pity the students!!!!

here's a song we worked on when i was a student :)

So close no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, We live it our way
All these words I don't just say
And nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know

So close no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, We live it our way
All these words I don't just say

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they say
Never cared for games they play
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
And I know

So close no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No nothing else matters

i totally agree with you. I have all their album too and my favorite one is and justice for all. this album is so heavy (drums) and my favorite song is harvester of sorrow (i like the rythm of the drum and that's a good one on stage). I saw them 4th time and i woorked for them the last time. We couldn't meet them but i have a pic with me on their flying case (the grey ones with written Metallica), we also received their guitar mediators and the drums stick. This time, the show was amazing. I was next to the drummer (he's one of my idol) during the show. And he was circled by flammes exploding every minutes. That was great (and hot as hell :D).
Of course i like fade to black and also their instrumantal songs: prince of ktulu and orion. :)
Great band. It's just a pity that Jason Newstead left the band to come back with flotsam and jetsam...:(

I had considered being a teacher before becoming a nurse. I think in many ways teaching would be more difficult than nursing. It requires much dedication and courage to face a group of kids, most of whom do not wish to be there :D, and try to teach them something new.

I understand what you said about how much extra time you were required to spend over and above actually teaching! I see doctors go through that--years of schooling and internship, etc., and I think half their time is spent documenting and paperwork!

"Wildchild", eh? ;)
Methinks you're a bit of a wildchild yourself! :D

Indeed I am a bit of a Wildchild as well!LOL!Good point Serena!
This song is a piece of Poetry! That's my opinion!
Maybe that's why I like Hard-Rock!LOL!
i have always admired Nurses because they have more courage than me!
I have been in many troubles and I have never given up but if I go to a Hospital and see the sick patients and smell the chemicals used for curing people I almost pass out!!!
I am scared of Hospitals!Oh,My I think Nurses are strong as steel!!!!
I admit that being a teacher is not easy either!
I think my fear of Hospitals is Psychological because when I was into Kung-Fu I have been punched ,kicked, thrown and so forth,I never fainted!
So How come Hospitals make me this ill?I don't know!
i would like to know what you think of Behaviorism? You know like this Famous
French Biologist we had in France called Henri Laborit?
Some years ago I read his books! Not all of them! One which was called "La colombe assassinee"(it can translate as "The murdered Dove";I don't know how it was translated in the U.S!

I just knew you had a bit of the wildchild in you! ;) :D
And I guess anyone who works with kids, in any capacity, has a lot of courage, eh? :D

You would be surprised how many people fear hospitals! It really doesn't have an age or gender boundary. Possibly some of those fears come from past experiences in their lives. And like you said, the smells alone instill fear in many people! I've heard that a lot through the years. I can't say you ever get "immune" to them, or used to them, but I guess those same smells affect everyone's senses differently. Even around the home, some people think the smell of antiseptic cleansers mean a clean environment, while some only smell the smell and hate it--if you know what I mean. :D

I'm not sure what you yourself by mean by "Behaviorism". Do you mean the psychological study? If so, I have to admit I'm not a big believer in much of the studies of psychology. :indiffere I'm too basic a girl, I think. Too simple minded. :D To me, either you're a brat or you're not. ;) :D

Ye it is not. Teacher's are very hard workers and I admire what they do, all of them work so hard in order to make us succeed. But I will admit some just go over the edge a little too far, and me as a person, a student, and a human being, will never take that. ;)

Ahh, how I love my Google. :D
I'm not sure if it gave a good translated version, but I like it anyway! :D

Casser La Voix
Patrick Bruel

And the Google French translation: :D

To Break the Voice

If this evening I do not want to return all alone
If this evening I do not want to return at home
If this evening I do not want to close my mouth
If this evening I want to break me the voice

To break the voice,
To break the voice
To break the voice,
To break the voice

I can believe more, all which is marked on the walls
I can see more, the life of the others even in painting
I am not there for the smiles according to midnight
Me do not want of it, if this evening I want
To break me the voice,

To break the voice
To break the voice,
To break the voice

The friends who from go away
And the others which remain
To be made take for an idiot
By people whom one hates
Missed appointments
And the time which is lost
Between worn young people
And of the old men who hope

And these flashes which plug
At tele the each day
And the *******s who low
The color of the love
And the newspapers which trail,
Like I trail my trouble
The fear which is mine,
When I awake the night

To break the voice,
To break the voice
To break the voice,
To break the voice

And girls of the night
That one is born never
And that one sleeps in his bed
By calling that of the love!
And ashamed memories
That one forgets vant his ice
While saying itself I am degueu
But I am not disgusting!

Gently the dreams which run
Under the glance of the parents
And the tears which roll
On the cheeks of the children
And the songs which come
Like cries in the throat
Envy to shout its hatred
As a cat which one cuts the throat of

To break the voice,
To break the voice
To break the voice,
To break the voice

If this evening I do not want to return all alone
If this evening I do not want to return at home
If this evening I do not want to close my mouth
If this evening I want to break me the voice

To break the voice,
To break the voice
To break the voice,
To break the voice

Et Un Jour, Une Femme
by Florent Pagny

{Refrain1:}
Et un jour une femme
dont le regard vous frôle
Vous porte sur ses épaules
Comme elle porte le monde
Et jusqu'à bout de force
Recouvre de son écorce
Vos plaies les plus profondes
Puis un jour une femme
Met sa main dans la votre
Pour vous parler d'un autre
Parce qu'elle porte le monde
Et jusqu'au bout d'elle même
Vous prouve qu'elle vous aime
Par l'amour qu'elle inonde

Jour après jour vous redonne confiance
De toute sa patience
Vous remet debout
Trouver en soi un avenir peut-être
Et surtout l'envie d'être
ce qu'elle attend de vous

{Refrain2:}
Et un jour une femme
dont le regard vous frôle
Vous porte sur ses épaules
Comme elle porte le monde
Et jusqu'à bout de force
Recouvre de son écorce
Vos plaies les plus profondes
Vos plaies les plus profondes
Et un jour une femme
Met sa main dans la votre
Pour vous parler d'un autre
Parce qu'elle porte le monde
Et jusqu'au bout d'elle même
Vous prouve qu'elle vous aime
Par l'amour qu'elle inonde
Par l'amour qu'elle inonde

Et un jour une femme
Dont le regard vous touche
Porte jusqu'à sa bouche
Le front d'un petit monde
Et jusqu'au bout de soi
Lui donne tout ce qu'elle a
Chaque pas chaque seconde
Et jusqu'au bout du monde
Jusqu'au bout du monde

{Parlé:}
Jusqu'au bout du monde
Parce qu'elle porte le monde

woaw, it's a blind test about French songs and singer.

here's another song with great lyrics, so true lyrics!!!

"What we've got here is failure to
communicate.
Some men you just can't reach...
So, you get what we had here last week,
which is the way he wants it!
Well, he gets it!
N' I don't like it any more than you men." *
