Speaking as someone who got to meet him last summer, reading all of this makes me feel so glad the two people who REALLY cared and REALLY do like Steven were the ones chosen to meet him. I know there are other fans like myself that were just as deserving of the opportunity.
Bottom line is, guys...this is a FREE COUNTRY. You are not in a "relationship" with Steven Seagal...so you don't have to give him some weird "ultimatums" to adhere to or "lose you forever"
Just like in a relationship, either accept him how he is, like I and many others on here do, or move on already.
Wow. You're arrogance astounds me. Maybe you don't realise this but you come across as so very arrogant in you're post. So are you saying that you and you're friend are the only ones who care about Seagal? Are you saying that the rest of us don't care about Seagal? We all write these posts about Seagal and how he can help and improve his career because we don't care? Is that what you're really saying? I know you say there are other fans that were deserving of meeting Seagal but you say they should be like you! That just seems to say that only opinions like yours are valid. How incredibly offensive. I'm not sure if you realise but that's not really how a forum works. It's because I care about Seagal that I take my time to write these posts because I want things to be better.
On the topic of meeting Seagal I think it's a real shame that fans with more balanced views were not chosen to meet him instead of people who clearly think he can do no wrong. I know if I had met him I would have told him how great his early films were but also told him exactly what I think of his recent films and the way his career is currently going. In fact that's exactly what my ex-girlfriend did when she met him and be wasn't at all offended in fact he just laughed about it.
You're right, none of us are in a relationship with Seagal it is a free country. However in a way he does need us as fans and will struggle if he doesn't have us. After all if no one buys his films then they won't get made anymore that's the bottom line. So us trying to tell him that what he's being giving us up to now isn't acceptable is a natural part of that. None of us want to waste out money on something inferior from him when we know he can do better. After all you don't keep going back to an award winning restaurant if they keep serving you horrible food that makes you sick now do you? Instead you tell the restaurant what the problem is so they can fix it. And if they don't then you find a new restaurant to go to. It's pretty simple.
If I was in a relationship with someone like Seagal who is capable of greatness but who never lives up to that, who never seems to listen to advice or want to change then that relationship would be over.
Oh and by the way BarbaraAnn101, you've not got the authority to tell me to move on so I will be sticking around for a long while yet.
None of this dosent really matter now. Seagal hasent made any good movies in years since he got fat. Atleast now we can save our money
That's very true Boyd. It's been a long time since Seagal's last decent film and he shows no signs of changing any time soon. In these financially hard times not buying a Seagal film is a lot easier decision to make now.
