True :)

Told some cops the other night that with the empty houses around they could just move in another police station & wouldn't have to go that far :)

DMX like so many of todays so called stars will fade and in a couple of years people will not remember him - he's just an illiterate flash in the pan. Having said that, film sets are funny and very unnatural places, little close families forced upon each other. Sometimes it works well and everyone gets along - even fall in love, sometimes little ''in'' groups form, but also, very often there is a lot of friction, and it's not unusual for there to be a great deal of bitching and spiteful remarks once the unit has finished - it applies to a lot of films mot just Steven's. Steven doesn't mix in a lot on set, (again this happens with a lot of stars) but it can cause resentment, and make those who already have a chip on their shoulders even more vocal and spiteful. It's good to read nice things about steven, but I think it is just as important to read the bad stuff, it gives a more rounded picture, and in truth we know he is difficult and often rude, very moody and bloody minded, but we accept that and support him anyway.

"DMX like so many of todays so called stars will fade"

In case you didn't know it, DMX is a big name ... huge ... in the music industry. He'll be around for quite a long time. He's built a huge franchise for himself. Movies are different ... DMX might fade away from movie making ... but not from hip/hop.

Nope, he will be a fading star unless he gets his act together.

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) -- Top selling rapper DMX says he's quitting music.

In a press conference on March 21st, the guy who's credited with developing hardcore hip-hop says, "I refuse to give another dime to that record label, Def Jam."

Claiming he's made the record label $144 million last year, and received nothing, except what he calls a "loan," the often controversial singer says he's also starting a union for music artists.

"The highest paid artist gets 18 cents on the dollar, it's straight robbery," rants DMX, who says he makes more money in movies than in music. "They still own your music and they ask for maybe 27 songs for each album and they only use about 16 and the rest they give away. It's robbery man, I can't be part of it anymore."

When contacted, a spokesman for Def Jam Music in New York seems a bit shocked about DMX's statements and is trying to get a statement from executives. His fifth album, "Grand Champ" opened in the top spot on the Billboard Pop Charts and DMX is still under contract, says the spokesman.

Also known as Earl Simmons, the rapper has the Fox Searchlight film "Never Die Alone" coming out Friday (March 26) and has appeared in "Romeo Must Die," "Exit Wounds" and "Cradle 2 the Grave." His music is in "The Fast and the Furious" and "Any Given Sunday."

He complains that record companies won't promote your album if you're uncooperative and the contracts hold artists down for too many years. In the past he has work with Sony and Columbia Records.

"They've got a lot of artists in there that are straight garbage and they play it so f***ing much you find yourself singing their s***," the singer says. "All the radio stations are bought and paid for, it all comes from the heads of the record companies. It's not about talent anymore."

DefJan ... LOL

DMX has enough power and money in hip/hop industry to finance and create his own record label ... music is his specialty; he won't be quiting it that easily. He's got a big mouth and says things many times without really thinking them through ... acts on impulse most of the time ...

Rapper DMX Arrested
Jun 25, 9:40 AM EST

The Associated Press

NEW YORK -- Rapper and actor DMX was arrested on charges that he and another man tried to steal a car in a parking lot at Kennedy Airport, authorities said.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, and Jackie Hudgins were arrested Thursday night after Port Authority police interrupted a dispute between the two and another man whose car they allegedly tried to steal, authorities said.

A preliminary investigation indicated that Simmons may have identified himself as a federal agent, according to Tony Ciavolella, a Port Authority spokesman.

No one was hurt and no weapons were recovered, Ciavolella said.

Simmons and Hudgins were arrested on charges of attempted robbery, criminal impersonation and criminal mischief, he said.

They were in custody and were expected to be taken to central booking in Queens late Thursday.

A message left for the company representing Simmons was not immediately returned Thursday night.

The rapper was fined and ordered to make public service announcements for the Humane Society after police found pipes for smoking crack, a pistol and 13 pit bulls at his home in Teaneck, N.J., in 1999.

Simmons pleaded guilty to animal cruelty, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia in that case.

DMX has acted in films including "Romeo Must Die," "Exit Wounds" and "Cradle 2 The Grave."

Yes he can be a big idiot ... especially when he gets drunk at a club...

He could be charged with impersonating a federal agent much fiercely than for stealing a car...

LOL and you think he was stealing a car because he wanted to sell it and get some quick cash?

He probably had a dispute with the guy that he knew ... or just needed a ride when there were no taxis around :D

DMX is a fashion item, fashion fades, fads change, there is always another on the way up. What was the charge of animal cruelty - that has to be pre meditated, and for that alone he loses all respect - certainly Steven would hate him for that.
