Just finished The Last Castle with Robert Redford and James Gandolfini. It's from 2001 and I saw it when it first came out, but just saw it again. I thought it was a very good movie, myself.
Robert Redford is a legendary three-star general who is court-martialed after a military incident where some of his men are killed. He's stripped of his rank and sent to a military prison, run by Gandolfini. Of course, the prison is a hell hole, and Redford soon becomes admired and respected by the other prisoners for his efforts to improve conditions and make the situation known to those on the outisde. Which infuriates Gandolfini, who tries to demean and crush Redford.
Definitely worth a look, especially if you're a fan of Redford. I thought this was one of his best roles in years.
