If SEAGAL is the bad-guy in clementine....

I Belong To Steven
He cannot be beat up badly, the fans will not like that...
Well, that's my opinion, and my dads too, SS built his rep on tough, and tough he should stay, or it might not be well received...
He can be hurt, but to take more than a blow or two is shaming...
Now, if it's a film not about fighting, then sure, but if he's fighting he has got to win, that's just my opinion...

It's not realistic though. I do agree with you lotussan. It's just, the typical everyday non-seagal fan doesn't. When i mention Seagal is my hero, my friends always make fun of me for two reasons.

1. He is a terrible actor. (Which actually a few of them take back now that they have seen him in a few of his earlier movies.)

2. HE NEVER GETS HURT- Seagal has been doing movies where he is the action hero for years now. If it takes something different to win back a bigger audience so be it. "On Deadly Ground" was so unsuccessful because of the enviromental speech. So what did Seagal do? He stopped making those types of films. The last time he made a movie like that was "Fire Down Below", which was critically panned.

"Exit Wounds" was a good comeback because he wasnt going around and killing everyone in sight, he was fighting realistically and took some punches from Latrell Walker (DMX) a few times. And look at that movie? Number one at the box office!

As i always say,

"if its not broke, dont fix it. If it is broke, you better f*cking get it fixed."

It's all good in my book.

"I guess he is a fighter and he did his job !!"

I think that could be the case. ... maybe it's time for a change ... maybe he is 'broadening his horizons' as was suggested ... maybe he plays a bad guy who just 'needs time to change' and does so by the end of the film ... or it could just be that he wanted to do a film where he does something totally different for a change and see if he likes that and see how it does with the public ... like Reservoir Dog said - he fixes things that don't do as well, and he keeps those that are to the public's liking.

In any case, I'd still love to see that movie and I think that I would enjoy it too (regardless of that language barrier).

I think it would be great for Steven's career, and something different for him to play a bad guy.

I completely agree. If he can carry off a villainous role successfully, it can only do him good as it will answer some of those who are critical of his acting ability.
