Why is everyone getting so upset about the release of a trailer? I would be upset if it was the movie that was scheduled to be released and wasn't. I have seen loads of trailers where the movie looked great and the movie turned out poor.

Craig, when the trailer arrives can you put it up for download as you use to do ?? :)

Propably because people are excited to see the first glimpse of the movie, and Voltage keep saying April, May and so and so on, and nothing happens. We should be able to count on Voltage.

Exactly, we should be able to trust the studio when they give us an actual releasedate. One time is ok delays can always happen. But two times in a row .. no!!

When I go to bed in about 3 hours or so, the working day in the US comes to an end. So tomorrow i will see if voltage kept their word. And Craig is right, better a good movie and no trailer, then a great trailer and a crappy movie.

Peace

I would like to, but the best we can do is link to the YouTube page and the Voltage one. :(

Usually Voltage put it online in MOV or MP4 format and it is easy enough to download.

I buy Maximum Conviction when its released on dvd, and then it will be the last time I buy a movie released through Voltage Pictures. They are obviously not be trusted and dont give a rats ass about the fans since they keep lying about the release of the trailer. I wont support a movie company that shits on the fans like Voltage shits on us.

Did somebody already send an e-mail to this Brittany from Voltage to ask here what the hell is going on?

The email says the trailer should be ready on 11th. It doesn't say it will. I am sure it will be release some point this month.

As much as I'm looking forward to the movie.....the trailer (or lack of) isn't that important. Does anyone know an actual release date for the movie (is it going to cinemas?....is it going to DVD?)
Live is too short to start ranting and raving at a studio, just because they haven't got a trailer out yet. Just be glad a studio is still getting behind Steven and his movies. Other than making the movies, they are under no obligation to you, me or anyone else to release a trailer.

Rant over, calm down folks :)

Am I the only one who doesn't give a crap about the release of the trailer and am more bothered about the release of the actual film.
We all know from Seagal's past that the trailers to his films are usually shit anyway!!

Yeah you're one of the few. And for your information, the trailer is probably the most important part of the promotion. So if you dont care about the trailer you dont care about the promotion, and if you dont care about the promotion you dont care about the movie.

Looks like the movie will be crap anyway like all his latest movies since Exit Wounds. No decent promotion ususaly means crappy movie. So Maximum Conviction will be no exception.

Just because someone isn't ranting and raving about a trailer, doesn't mean they're not looking forward to the movie. Even if the movie turns out to be rubbish, I'll still buy it (as will others) To be honest, it's people needing to see a trailer before it's release, that'll probably end up staying away from it. Like I said, if a trailer comes along...great. But if it doesn't, I'll just be glad to see the movie.

And to claim that someone who "doesn't care for the trailer, ultimately doesn't care for the movie" is a bit rich, considering you then end your post with "Looks like the movie will be crap anyway like all his latest movies since Exit Wounds. No decent promotion ususaly means crappy movie"

That's rather a self-defeating attitude, is it not?

A DANGEROUS MAN didn't have great promotion, neither did URBAN JUSTICE......So (once again) I'm not sure what you're getting at?

As for MAXIMUM CONVICTION, I'm not expecting GLENGARRY GLENROSS 2, but I'm sure if the studios pump it full of enough action, and Steven gets a few good fights...then I'll be happy. Seagals films have never been high-art (let's not kid ourselves here) I just want to see a good solid (professional-looking) action flick. And I'm sure that having Steve Austin on board should guarantee this (as his movies seem fairly 'grounded')
